Here in Colorado, we really need to know about cold-weather care for senior pets. So far this winter, we haven’t had a decent cold snap…yet. But we know it’s coming at some point, and we still have a lot of winter ahead, including months generally accepted as the coldest and snowiest.
Our older pets need some extra care during these colder months, since their skin is generally thinner, their immune systems aren’t what they used to be, and their joints can be stiffer and less mobile than in their younger years.
So, we’d like to share some information on how you can keep your elderly pet more comfortable when they go outside in colder weather, as well as what you can do indoors to keep them cozy.
