Here's a nice before, and after picture of a recent stipple removal job completed in Manitock. Notice how the light now reflects off the ceiling instead of being absorbed by it. This is with flat white paint. The reflection is not annoyingly present. With the right paint, this effect is subtle and simply brightens up the room.
