Payless Truck Driving School

I came a year ago to get my HR, and have now just completed my HC with another great experience. The team is very professional and took the time and patience to teach me everything I need to know to drive a truck. I’ll definitely be back for my MC – see you soon!

Right from the beginning I felt welcomed and at ease. I must say I was a little tensed when doing the driving training as I had never ridden such a Heavy Vehicle (HR) before. Ayman was a great instructor and gave me plenty of time to tame my nerves and drive to my best ability. Phil who conducted the FCA driving test was professional and his instructions were clear. I would highly recommend Payless Truck Driving School for anyone wanting to upgrade their license.

Training course for an HR License on automatic. The training was very well structured and thorough. The location of the school is well suited allowing familiarisation of the vehicle and driving on quiet and wide roads before moving into heavier traffic. Excellent instruction and feedback with no surprises during the assessment. Aymen and Phil did a great job!

Absolutely unacceptable experience — beware of hidden fees and manipulation. I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with the driving instructor (Ayman) on the 6th of June 2025 After I had already paid for the full course in advance, they tried to overcharge me an additional $360 with no clear explanation. When I asked for clarification, I was met with vague excuses and no proper receipts. This felt like a blatant attempt to scam extra money. To make matters worse, the instructor (Ayman) smelled strongly of cigarettes, which made it extremely difficult to concentrate during lessons and the test. This is incredibly unprofessional, especially in a setting where focus and safety are critical. And don't be fooled by their glowing reviews — they pressure every student to give 5 stars before they even finish the course. Their inflated rating does NOT reflect the real quality of instruction or ethics here. I posted this review and he then TWICE and most probably will a third time try to gaslight readers of the review into thinking that I never attended this place which is a complete lie and proof of the manipulation ridden within the culture of this place. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a reputable and honest driving school.

Aymen was an amazing trainer. I was very anxious about doing the training and test and he made me feel at ease and drive with confidence. I would recommend to anyone Payless driving school. They were a pleasure to train with 🙏

HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO PASS AND GENUINELY HAVE FUN LEARNING!!! Absolutely worth every cent, I went here for the day course and received nothing but the best results from the educators, everything was easy to understand and set up to work with the students to gain the best results/ 100% BEST value for such a cheap price, I compared many places and this by far is the best price and quality I could find in Sydney.
