I can’t recommend Pave Black enough. Spencer is very nice, caring and understanding. If there is an issue he promptly addresses it. Their Sales people were easy to work with and kept us informed on everything going on. The asphalt job is gorgeous. They did some seal coating and line striping for my work and it looks excellent, they also do a great job on their concrete work. If you’re in the Appleton, Fox Valley or surrounding areas, I highly recommend them. I’d give them 10 stars if I could.

We recently had our asphalt driveway done and couldn’t be happier with the results! From start to finish, the crew was professional, friendly, and clearly took pride in their work. They showed up on time, explained the process, and paid attention to every detail to make sure everything was done right. The finished driveway looks smooth, clean, and has completely improved the curb appeal of our home. It’s obvious they use quality materials and know what they’re doing. Spencer and company, Pave Black Asphalt did an outstanding job doing a driveway extension for me. It was very professional in every respect. There were ample employees to do a quick and thorough job. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate them an 11. The cost was very reasonable without shrimping on anything. The contract called for a 3inch layer of asphalt but of necessity to do a perfect job at least another inch was added without additional charge. I highly recommend prospective customers look into hiring them.

Our driveway entrance and turn around was replaced. Even though 2-3 inches was quoted they added more to make it level on a portion to do it right. Great quality with straight lines. The curves on the radius additions look nice. The work was split up with tearing it out about 3 weeks prior to paving. No big deal for me as they temporary grated it to make the driveway usable. Upon tearing it out the ground kept settling in the turn around, so they did it back out and refilled it to address the issue.

I had a horrible experience with Pave Black and the owner. I had numerous issues with quoting, scheduling, responsiveness, and quality of work. There is a long story and I save you the details, however, the biggest problem I experienced was their subgrade and paving quality, and the responsiveness of the owner. Before Pave Black came into the picture we had perfect pitch away from our garage with good drainage. While in progress the paving crew told us that their newly laid subgrade kept sinking as they paved (serious subgrade issue) and so they left it where it was. They continued despite knowing it was an issue. Pave Black "finished" the project with our driveway up to 5"inches below grade. This created a big water issue that was brought to their attention the day that it was "complete" and obviously was evidence of a poorly laid subgrade. After many attempts to contact them to discuss solutions, and no responses, I had other cotractors come to provide their expertice on the issue. The ones that stoped by said the work was poor and that they would have to rip up to fix the issue. One didnt beleive me that Pave Black even did the work as it was soo poor. They also noticed other spots that were thin (not what was promised in the quote). After 4 + months of no response, attempts to resolve through a lawyer, certified mail letter, and a BBB complaint, Spencer (owner) finally stoped by. Ater he visited he sent me a threatening text, and said nothing was wrong and took no responsibility for the issues. Spencer (owner) was unwilling to communicate and resolve the issues and based on my experience did not care about the quality of his work and his workmanship guarantees on the website. He also had zero respect for me personally, and his practices don't seem to align with other contractors doing industry standard work. I would not recommend this company and don't wish this experience on anyone. This is the worst contractor I have ever worked with personally and professionally.

Very unprofessional, over charged than what bid was $4200.00, price came to $24000.00 and very bad work chipping and spots holding a lot of water, they had to wait 1 hr for each load to come because not enough trucks,

I called Pave Black Asphalt for an estimate on a very long residential asphalt driveway in Appleton Wisconsin. They got back to me the same day and gave me a quote that was right in the middle of the other two quotes I’ve gotten from other asphalt paving companies. Very professional! The difference I saw was the quote was very detailed and organized and easy to read and understand. I was truly comfortable with their asphalt salesman, and decided to go with Pave Black. The paving team showed up to do the work and all worked together. They did a great job and were very friendly and talked the process of paving asphalt with me along the way. The asphalt turned out really smooth. I am so thankful I do not have to shovel stones out of my lawn anymore. Thank you very much Pave Black doing a job well done!
