I took drum set lessons from Paul for many years. He was very adaptable to my schedule and patient with my learning pace. His studio setup was an excellent learning environment and his depth of knowledge with drumming enabled ongoing development for me. He would demonstrate by playing any part that I was learning so that I could hear it, not just read it from the music or a recording. The recordings he made of the songs I played are now keepsakes that I will have forever. I recommend Paul to anyone who wants to learn how to play the drums or who wants to advance their drumming skills to the next level.

There are many things I like about Paul as an instructor but what I really appreciate is his knowledge, professionalism, and teaching ability. As a busy lawyer taking drum lessons as a hobby, I appreciate Paul’s willingness to work with my schedule. He’s also a great teacher, able to explain complicated concepts while managing to make lessons fun. If you want to learn how to play the drums in the correct way, and have fun doing it, Paul’s the teacher for you. I recommend him highly!

Paul took me on as a student with absolutely no musical background. He has a system of teaching that can take a beginner and transform them to their desired skill level. He’s patient enough to be able to work with kids or adults. He’s also very accommodating and understanding when it comes to scheduling. I studied under Paul for a few years and returned to him for a special project I was working on with percussions and he has never disappointed. He’s professional, kind and funny to make the learning experience enjoyable.

I’ve been taking drum lessons from Paul for 2 years. Paul makes it very easy and fun to learn. He is a very talented and experienced musician and teacher. I am a church percussionist and Paul customizes the lessons to fit what I need to work on to grow and continue to play with our church praise band. His professional studio is well equipped and he uses state of the art tools and methods to make learning and practicing easier. I also like that he creates a professional recording in the studio of each song I work on. It establishes a goal to practice, learn, and work towards. When the recording is complete, he gives it to me and I feel it is a sign of accomplishment. Then we move on to the next thing. I would recommend Paul to anyone that wants to learn or increase their skill level as a percussionist! Debbie

Paul Kush is an amazing drum set teacher to all ages! My personal experience was of him teaching my son beginning at age 8. He excels at teaching fundamentals, as well as educating students on fills, listening skills, and playing in "real world" situations. He has a very easy going manner and is a great role model. My son is now 19 and was in high school jazz band, drummer for musicals, drumline for 4 years, and is now on drumline in college and wants to double major in Music Education and Performance! It all began with Paul...

Paul was my son's drum instructor when he was a teenager. His lessons were always on point, concise, and benefited my son greatly. I have nothing but great things to say about his lessons and encouragement.

Absolutely amazing. I’ve been taking lessons from him for years. He’s super easy to talk to, and makes playing so much easier to understand. I would definitely recommend taking lessons from him, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player.

My son started with him when he was 6. He is now 7 and we are working on our 2nd song already. If you have younger kids give him a shot.
