Survey finds buried treasure. This stone marks the edge line of a 1912 highway layout. They were carved with the numbers that show on the map of the layout so, their identification is clear.

This is a granite stone bound carved with the number 2 found down 0.5 feet. I don't paint these artifacts, but from the looks of it some other surveyor found it too and painted it orange.

Another granite stone bound from the 1912 layout, carved with a number 4 was found down one foot.
