I dropped my car off at 8 am and was greeted with a warm welcome and smiles from all the staff. I was able to speak directly with the owners and they were able to help diagnose and make cost effective solutions for my car. I quoted the work with another shop and Pats saved me about 40% from the competitor. This was my first experience with my Cx5 with Pat’s and I will be coming back for all of my service in the future. Thank you Scott and everyone who helped me, you made me feel like family instead of just a customer.

We live in Buffalo and my son's car broke down unexpectedly in Rochester. We brought it to another mechanic who doesn't work with warranties, but when we realized the work would be extensive, we knew we had to take it to a mechanic who does. I called Pat's and they were very welcoming and willing to help from the beginning. The warranty claim was initially denied, but through their hard work and perseverance, we were able to get a good portion covered. They communicated with us every step of the way and the car is now running very smoothly.

I’ve been going to Pats Auto for quite some time now, and I always leave completely satisfied. The team is consistently friendly, professional, and provides excellent service. Whenever my car needs maintenance or repairs, they take the time to clearly explain what work needs to be done and why it’s important. That level of transparency really builds trust and confidence. If you’re looking for a trustworthy and reliable mechanic, Pats Auto is definitely the place to go!

I was in a situation where I urgently needed my car checked without an appointment, which I considered an emergency. After stopping at two other shops that were unable to assist me, this shop was able to help. The shop truly went above and beyond by clearly explaining what was going on with my car and putting my mind at ease. It’s rare to find such genuine, caring service, and I’m very thankful I stopped in. I was extremely grateful for their professionalism and kindness, and I can not say enough about the excellent experience. I would highly recommend this shop!!!

PROS: Loaner cars but some of the loaner cars had check engine light as well. Able to do small fixes for my car CONS I paid another of money to have my check engine light fixed. They replaced the MAF sensor- still check engine came on and my car shut off while I was trying to stop on the road, good thing I didn’t hit anyone or got hit in the process because I pulled my Parking break. After that they replaced O2 sensor, still check engine lights was on and I broke down again 2x while trying to stop. Almost hit someone but luckily I knew what to do. Then they blamed the EGR valve which was recently replaced. My money down the drain almost $1,000 gone and my engine still is broken. Did not want to compromise or help. Really disappointed, sad and stressful experience. I got chest pain from the stress. I decided to overhaul everything as get a new car because they could fix it even after spending that amount of money. If you need engine work , I’d suggest take your money elsewhere because going to the shop for an engine problem, it is a guessing game to them and they won’t know what to fix. You might have to spend thousands of dollars with no good result. Very disappointing unfortunately I had to learn the hard way. 💸💸💸

I was really excited to come here. To be VERY disappointed leaving, and now I know I was being ripped off. The reviews were excellent plus a friend suggested them to me, the people who work for Pats in the office were great! Scheduling online was EASY AND all around amazing! These aren’t the most important things though…. (However for those reason they get 2 stars instead of 1) **NOW, watch for being ripped off when it’s obvious you know nothing about cars please excuse my ignorance of cars and their functions I will explain best I can*** I found out I was lied to at Pats, (Dillion was my service advisor), about what needs to pass inspection. I was quoted $3,400 something (to pass inspection plus AC compressor that wasn’t needed to pass inspection because just a few days after going to pats my car broke down do to issues around the failing AC compressor (car would not start anymore) they scrapped my inspection sticker off. As I couldn’t afford over 3k in repairs. These “MANDATORY” maintenance issues $$, plus to pass inspection $3,400!!!! Mind you I have a 2017 jeep with only 70k miles on it. When my car broke down and wouldn’t start I towed my jeep to a different mechanic shop. To fix the AC compressor/ issues to get car running again, and pass inspection… $450 !!!! My cars running great, I saw the computer for myself all green inspection ligit passed and car was up and running smoothe for $450 !!!!!! … so BE AWARE!

I tried out Pat's Automotive for the first time last week and was blown away by their attention to detail, honesty, and warranty. Scott took the time to explain why my vehicle wasn't running right and laid out all of the steps they took to diagnose it. They even send you an inspection report of your car with pictures of the problems they find. I will be going to Pat's Automotive exclusively from here on out.

Wonderful shop! Traveling from out of town and experienced car troubles. Scott and Megan were more than generous working me in to an already busy schedule. They were able to diagnosis and fix the issue at a great price! Thanks again Megan and Scott!

I would give them negative stars if possible. Took my Wrx to these guys for an inspection, alignment, and to install 4 tpms in the rims. They Failed my inspection for brakes pads(which only fail in ny if they're metal on metal) I do my own work normally so I said no to all work other than the tpms. picked up my car went home and removed all 4 tires to inspect the brakes that I already knew were good. Sure enough 7 to 8 mm on the front (they told me 4mm, which would still pass) Rear are at 4 to 5 mm I was told 3mm and that was the fail point in ny. I confirmed with my regular shop that metal on metal is the only fail point. Regardless they lied about the pads. quoted 800 for rear and 800 for front.. to replace my performance pads and rotors with garbage. Nothing but parts changers and upsellers stay AWAY.

I live in Oregon but my son is going to school in Rochester. As such, I was looking for an automotive shop that I could trust would work honestly and do good work for my son. I settled on Pat's and couldn't have been happier. They were honest and fair and quick in their work. They supplied me with a loaner vehicle while I was waiting for my son't car to be done and gave me great suggestions on where to go for a hike and lunch while I waited. I trust them and think that you will have a good experience with them as well.
