FLOATING FLOOR INSTALLATION- What is floating hardwood floor installation and is it right for your home or office?
The floating hardwood floors installation method is typically done on engineered hardwood floors. Rather than opting to other options such as the glue-down, the nailing down or stapling the planks to the sub-floor, the hardwood floor “floats” freely over the sub-floor. This happens because of the usage of the cork or foam in the underlayment. We use different underlayment materials based on your specific flooring needs. If for example, your specific concern is the noise levels need and you would like to have them reduced, then a cork underlayment will be used on the sub-floor.
