Ruiz is truly the only consistently positive experience I’ve had at the U. Whether he’s able to treat the issue directly or needs to refer me elsewhere, his bedside manner is what sets him apart—empathetic, kind, and deeply respectful.
He genuinely listens, which is such a rare and valuable quality in the practice. You never feel rushed or dismissed; he makes you feel heard, seen, and cared for. I’ve been willing to travel 30 miles just to see him specifically, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. That’s how much his compassion and professionalism mean to me.
I’ll admit, I haven’t always been the easiest patient- he’s probably like oh goodness not her again 🤦♀️ but not because of anything he’s done, but just from the frustration of being sick and the other provider is not even remotely helpful. Even then, he’s remained incredibly patient and understanding, never taking it personally, in addition my daughter now wants him as her provider because she’s seen how he treats me which says a lot about his character.
He is a true gem in this practice, and I deeply appreciate him
