Pack AMO

Working with Pack Amo has been a transformative experience that I would absolutely recommend. My husband and I adopted a six-month-old shepherd puppy from a shelter. We had done research, and had both grown up with dogs. However, within the first couple of weeks it quickly became clear that we were out of our depths. Between nipping, counter surfing, and car chasing, I felt like an absolute failure. We enrolled our dog in the two week puppy program with Pack Amo and it was the best decision we could have made. The team focused on teaching communication, not obedience, helping us learn how to set boundaries and reinforce positive behavior with our high energy, high prey drive pup. They talked through every strategy and tool, making sure we were comfortable with our path moving forward; they also provided us with videos to further our own learning. Aaron drove to our house the day after a major snowstorm for a home visit so he could see our dog’s behaviors when he was in his own environment; Aaron gave us critical training tips and tools during this visit that had an immediate positive impact on Goose and his behavior. Not only is Goose better equipped to be in our home, but he also is more calm and attentive at the end of the day because he has a better sense of where he belongs. Goose still has some things to grow into, but Aaron and his team helped create the foundation for lifelong communication and learning. Our silly goober guy is so much more at ease, and I’m so excited for his continued progress - which would not be possible without the amazing work at Pack Amo. We’re sad he’s “graduating” but hope to get him into their daycare program after the holidays

I had my lab mix dog board and train while I recovered from surgery. The progress he made with Aaron is phenomenal! I can’t say enough good things about this experience. The weekly progress videos as well as videos that accompany the pet owner’s training packet are very good. They worked well to cement my understanding of what I need to work on with my dog to reinforce everything Aaron worked on. Extremely pleased with the whole experience.

We are so grateful to Aaron and the team at PackAMO. Our dog Madi is a high energy Australian shepherd mix and she LOVES going to daycare. When we first adopted her we were having challenges with her and our older female dog getting along. Since sending both our girls to PackAMO their relationship has come so far. Highly recommend 💜

If you need a trainer or behaviorist for your dog, this facility is a must! I signed my boy Huey up for the 4 week training academy to help with reactivity on leash and kennel calmness, and he has been doing amazingly! I finally have the dog I’ve always wanted, and Huey and I’s communication has never been better! Aaron, Katelyn, and the whole team are amazing and so attentive to his needs. I’ve been to professional trainers for previous dogs in the past and none have compared to the quality of training and care he gets here :) Even just the initial free session was so helpful! Sign your pup up! You won’t regret it!

Aaron and his team are truly incredible. My pet is a dog that was a rescued from a puppy mill at 2 years old. To say she needed work was an understatement. We started her in daycare twice a week to get her accustomed to being around other dogs. She then did the 4-week daycare training and she has completely changed. She is confident during our walks, she understands commands, and has become easy to take out around people. Not only did Aaron and his team help our dog, but they helped me understand my pet and read her body language so that I know when to enforce, when to reward, and when to protect. I have also taken advantage of their boarding because I know my pet is in safe, loving hands. I cannot recommend Pack Amo enough!!

Can’t put into words how impressed we are with the progress Timber’s made in six weeks!! Her newfound “calmness” is something that I never thought would be possible in public. Thank you beyond words, Pack AMO. This experience was truly life changing for our growing family. The drive that Aaron has to help dogs and their parents is unmatched.

We love Pack Amo. The staff are very good with our high energy dog. Aaron says our dog has a high "prey drive" -- they run her around and play with her and she comes home tired and happy.

Aaron and his team have been taking care of our dogs for a decade. Our quirky Beagle/Lab mix is a hot mess around people, but she loves Aaron and his colleagues. We leave our pup at AMO with full confidence. They monitor dogs closely and know them all by name. Aaron is a gifted trainer, and he continues to attend classes around the country to learn the latest techniques. He is also an educator, and shares his wisdom with his team and clients. We are very grateful that AMO, voted the Press-Citizen's #1 Pet Kennel in Johnson County, is in our area.

Aaron works miracles because he works with the WHOLE dog. Not just obedience, but emotionally supporting dogs, knowing their psychological needs, using trauma-informed practice. My wife and I work in mental health and we loved his approach which not only works with the dog's natural instincts but views no dog as "broken," just, as needing us humans to do better for them! Thanks for also training us, Aaron!

We sent our 12 week old golden retriever to their daily training option for 2 weeks. We saw significant improvement in her obedience over the two weeks. She is definitely still a puppy and super energetic but is more attentive and has a really solid foundation for being a very well trained dog once she out of the puppy stage. Our trainer, Katelyn, was incredibly sweet and caring with our puppy and she did a lot to work with us to train us on how to best interact with our dog to ensure the best retention of trained behaviors.
