Osprey plumbing and heating

We hired Osprey Plumbing for a complete bathroom refit, and from start to finish, the service was exceptional. Our old bathroom was outdated with a leaking vanity unit, cracked tiles, and a poorly functioning shower. From the initial consultation, they provided a detailed written quote outlining all work, materials, and estimated timeline. The team arrived on schedule each day, wearing protective gear and keeping the house clean. They carefully removed the old fixtures, repaired the subfloor where needed, and installed a modern vanity, new WC, and a walk-in shower with a thermostatic mixer. The tiling was precise, with no gaps or uneven edges, and they even ensured the grout was sealed properly to prevent future mold issues. What impressed us most was the attention to detail — they took before-and-after photos to document every stage and explained maintenance tips for the taps, shower, and extractor fan. Any minor unexpected issues, like a slightly uneven pipe connection, were flagged immediately, and solutions were offered transparently without extra charges. The final result was stunning: fully functional, clean, and modern, and they even disposed of all old materials responsibly. Communication was excellent throughout; we received updates every day, and they answered every question patiently. It was very difficult for me to find a plumber! Then came across Kieran Hawkins! He was friendly, asked for a few photos so that he could access the problem. Having done that, he knew what the problem was and gave me a date, after he's working hours. Turned up on time, very friendly, very confident, very polite, and most important, very professional. Booked and paid deposit of £2100 to Kieran on the 5th Dec 2024, date booked for 9th January 2025. He said the bathroom fit would take a week so i booked time of work, unpaid as i had no holiday entitlement (agency) He never turned up so lost a weeks wages. . No communication despite several messages from me. Eventually replied and new date booked for 12th Feb, took another day off work, another day unpaid, never turned up but then turned up on the 17th Feb. Ripped all the bathroom out leaving me with no washing facilities. Started to tile the bathroom floor first, despite not sorting plumbing for new sink and toilet. Broke most of the tiles so persuaded me they were the wrong tiles. Money wasted. Week TWO. Bought new tiles and laid them whilst I was at work. Got home and was shocked to see the laid tiles. Awful !! The spacing was uneven, I hated it. These tiles were then removed, another £100 down the drain. Very confrontational when I mentioned the tiles. I just wanted a bathroom ! He had advised me to buy my bathroom suite from J&B plumbing as he has account there. So when I wasn't happy with the tiles, he said he would take his tools today ( Friday) and come back Monday and start afresh. I said i wasnt happy with his work so far and the days he never turned up, so i will get someone else. When I said I have nothing yet for my £2100, he advised me to go to J&B and collect the bathroom. I rang J&B and they said I couldn't have it a Kieran was the customer and he hadn't paid for anything. I told Kieran this and said his tools stay with me until l get a bathroom suite or £2100 back. He threatened me with the Police saying "that's theft" Initially quoted me £7,000 for rip out and refit. Told him my budget wasn't that much so overnight he said he had managed to source the same items online so quote reduced to £5,000. Funny though as when I got the sales order from J&B , ALL items required were on their bill, so obviously lied about sourcing items online. He also smashed an antique lampshade on my landing that held sentimental value as it was from my nans house who died in 1983. Said sorry but that shouldn't have happened. I'm still gutted ! Due to Kieran I was without a bathroom for THREE weeks, two that Kieran took to achieve NOTHING but mess and one week for the guy that took the job on to give me a lovely bathroom. What a cowboy !!!

Kieran just finished flushing the radiators and repairing a couple of leaks under the sink, always does a good job and very helpful, even gave advice on a friends plumbing fault

I would highly recommend Osprey Plumbing services. The business director and owner, Kieran, is reliable and very approachable. He fitted a new combi-boiler in my house recently and I am so pleased with his work. He is efficient and a very conscientious and neat worker, he cleaned up after himself so well you wouldn’t know we’d had any work done. On top of this, Kieran doesn't charge over-the- top, ridiculous prices. His pricing is reasonable and fair.

Just do not trust Kieran. He ripped is off for a deposit, lied about start dates and repaying us. Other reviewers have had similar experiences.

I would reccomend Kieran to anyone. He installed the shower cubicle that I have shown here. He was hard working, efficient and a pleasant, nice guy.well done.

£50 call out wasn't mentioned when I booked the job. It took only 5 minutes to clear the blocked drain, so £10 a minute. If he had cleared the rubbish in to a bag instead of just dumping it on the ground making a mess of the path, it would have been better, he put the drain cover back but not the stone weight on it that I use to stop the cover blowing away in the wind. In the shower he didn't put the cover back on the drain and as I have a disability I couldn't step safely i the shower because I couldn't bend to put it back, had to wait until my cleaner came a few days later. I wouldn't employ him again.

Kieran was brilliant- punctual, professional, polite, and knowledgeable. Carried out the work we had agreed on, plus went out of his way to help sort out a problem with my kitchen cupboard, which was over and above his remit. He left the area clean and tidy and was on hand to answer questions even after the job was done. I would not hesitate to recommend him, and will definitely use him again in the future.
