Orthopedic Pain & Spine Center - David Nguyen, MD

I’ve been taking my mom to see Dr. David Nguyen recently for her lower-back pain. We originally chose him because of the great reviews, hoping to find someone who could offer real professional insight and a clear plan for her multiple back issues. Even though we drive from Long Beach to his office in Orange County, it has been completely worth it. Dr. Nguyen took the time to explain her diagnoses thoroughly and walk us through his recommended course of treatment. After her very first procedure, we saw noticeable improvement. Her face lit up with relief after so many months of constant pain. He is cautious and makes sure he’s taking the appropriate steps rather than overdoing any part of the treatment, which we really appreciate. We don’t expect a full cure for her condition, but the relief she has already experienced has genuinely improved her quality of life. That alone means the world to us, and we’re incredibly grateful for his care and expertise. I also want to highlight how wonderful his office staff is. They’ve been so kind and attentive to my mom, always making sure she feels comfortable. That level of customer service makes such a difference, especially for someone who can feel anxious before appointments. Their warmth and professionalism really add to the overall experience. And honestly, we don’t mind the drive at all; the quality of his care and the way he and his team treat my mom make every mile completely worth it.

Dr. David Nguyen has been treating our family for years. We all agree that he is the most caring and effective physician any of us have ever had. Visits with him are what you would hope of any and all visits with a healthcare provider. We feel profoundly lucky and grateful to have found him. His office is clean and feels modern and comfortable. Parking is ample and free. His office staff are friendly and professional, and ALWAYS pick up the phone and return calls promptly, which, in 2025, is commendable.

Dr Nguyen and his staff are professional and have never impatient. He's been my pain management Dr since I had a major spine surgery (T5-S1) in 2022. He visited me the first time while I was in recovery at Hoag. He assured me that he would do what he could to keep me comfortable. He's done exactly that - it's hard to find someone so dedicated! He's an 11 out of 10! Thank you Dr Nguyen.

Dr Nguyen and his team are amazing, they went above and beyond for me, he is the best spine and pain doctor around. He is so knowledgeable and kind and really cares. I drove far just to see him and it was with it! Definitely chose him!

After being discharged from Hoag Hospital and enduring significant pain following a complex thoracic decompression and titanium spinal fusion surgery, I was desperately searching for a doctor who could truly help. Impressively, I was admitted exactly at my scheduled appointment time something that’s rare and deeply appreciated. Also, I appreciate how responsive the office is to my requests as well as the friendly reminders they send via text. When I met Dr. Nguyen, I was immediately put at ease. He had thoroughly reviewed my chart beforehand and already understood the extent of my condition and what I had gone through. I didn’t have to repeat my story or explain a thing. He was prepared, informed, and completely engaged from the start. Dr. Nguyen is not only incredibly knowledgeable and skilled in his field, but he also takes the time to listen, understand, and treat you with compassion. I never felt rushed. His calm demeanor and deep expertise made me feel confident and cared for, and he has played a pivotal role in my recovery journey. I am beyond grateful to Dr. Nguyen and his entire team for their exceptional care and dedication. Their support has meant the world to me, and I truly feel blessed to have found them. I absolutely recommend this practice, it’s been a great experience overall. I didn’t have to wait a long time for my consultation as most specialty MDs have long wait times. Staff is awesome, Dr Nguyen is very personable, I love how he explains everything in detail, he made me feel at ease & heard, I didn’t feel rushed it’s always been a pleasant experience in his office with his lovely & professional staff. Parking & location were perfect for me because with everything happening now a days, I’m always very aware of my surroundings, safe parking, security, well lit places, location etc. I drove over an hour to this office & well worth it, I just had my first procedure in his office & everything went well & I’m looking forward to continuing my care with this practice should I need it in the near future. This is probably the best Dr I've ever had. He has a beautiful office with friendly staff & he has a great personality. He's treated me for back, hip & knee pain along with Restless Leg Syndrome. Overall, I can't think of any negative there is. He explains things well & gives you a sense of calm that I wish every Dr could do. You can't go wrong giving this Dr a try.

Doctor Nguyen has made my life 1000% better. He is an outstanding listener and innovative thinker. He looks for ways to help improve the quality of your life. The best doctor I have had since I was diagnosed with cancer. He has my strongest recommendation I wish I could give him two extra stars. 7 out of 10.

After years and years of many many treatments and several doctors finally found a doctor that's helping me with chronic pain in my back. His injection has helped me tremendously. His staff is incredible I would recommend to anybody!!!

Dr. Nguyen got me walking again after struggling through PT for six months with no real success. His staff is friendly and efficient with appointments and insurance matters. Communication was very clear and expectations were appropriately set.
