👋 Meet the Owner – Walker Jones
Hey there! My name is Walker Jones, owner and operator of OnPoint Heating & Air.
I started OnPoint nearly three years ago with a simple goal: to build a reliable, honest, and reasonably priced HVAC company for Auburn and the surrounding communities.
HVAC runs in my blood. My granddad owned a metal ductwork shop in Birmingham for over 50 years, so I grew up around the trade. But my personal journey into HVAC started in an unexpected place — a sandwich shop in Auburn.
While on lunch break from my fencing job, I noticed a technician working on an ice machine. I asked if he needed help… and he said yes. I quit my fencing job shortly after and started learning hands-on, working on all kinds of HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
From there, I attended trade school and graduated, gaining the technical knowledge to match the field experience. I always knew I wanted to own my own company, and in 2023 I took the leap.
Today, I’m proud to serve Auburn and surrounding cities as a locally owned and operated business that customers can trust.
