What a surprise. Starter: Tuna Colada ... excellent. A very successful combination of flavours. Main course: Pappardelle with beef fillet ... to be honest, I’ve had better pasta, but the cooking was still very good. Perhaps the teriyaki sauce was a bit too overpowering. Dessert: Tiramisu with Madagascar chocolate caviar ... absolutely brilliant, perhaps the best tiramisu outside Italy. Service: extremely friendly – that’s what makes a visit to a restaurant a pleasure.

Had a great experience at Olivia Restaurant! The food was amazing from start to finish. They served three different types of bread with butter the black bread was especially tasty and the flatbreads were crunchy and excellent too. I started with the fish soup. The portion size was generous and the flavor was fantastic. The only small downside was that a few mussels still had their beards, and there were a couple of fish bones in the soup,but overall, the taste really stood out. For the main course, I had the octopus, and it was honestly the best I’ve ever had. Even compared to places I’ve tried in Turkey and Greece, this was on another level. The texture was incredibly soft, almost like minced meat, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The sauces complemented it beautifully. Definitely a place I’d recommend!

Loved the bread basket at the start. I had the fish ceviche which was fresh, good balanced flavours and the octopus which I loved. Portion size decent. My friend also got the antipasti for the table and the octopus was a nice addition. Without a drink, my bill came to 45 euros. Music wasn’t too loud and we came in before the lunch rush so everything came out in good time.

We had dinner here with friends on June 23rd, were glad they were open. Restaurant was a bit slow due to the holiday, but everything was fantastic. The cold appetizer for 2 was plenty for a group of 4. The prawns were the highlight of our dinner- we’re ready to go back and get them as an entree. Mussles, octopus were all fantastic. Be forewarned that they’re updating their wine list- it’s easier to just peek at what they have available to order. Big thumbs up, can’t wait to return. It might be our new favorite restaurant in Riga.

My sister and my wife found this restaurant in a magazine in the airplane and wanted to try it. O had mussels, buffalo meat and a mixed dessert. My wife had king crab. The food was absolutely divine. Combined with great wine and coctails and a Zapaca XO rum. I can highly recommend this place if you want high end food to reasonable prices compared to quality. The service was also very good. Next time we go to Riga we will go back here and enjoy the culinary excellence. Very cozy place.

this is the most splendid place I have ever been to, I recommend it to everyone who desires to try something new or rich-flavored. we ordered a lobster, octopus and steak and when I tell you all those three dishes were the most scrumptious foods we have ever tasted. lots of compliments to the chef and the staff! would come here again for sure. <3

Had the best soup of my life here, creamy cauliflower. The cod dish was very good as was the pasta with shrimp and a creamy sauce. Excellent service as well

To be honest, we left with a rather sad impression. We chose this place based on Instagram recommendations, but it turned out to be quite disappointing. The waitress seemed a bit indifferent no smile, no real desire to communicate , and I also didn’t quite understand her attitude, as if she was trying to “correct” the guest rather than make them feel welcome. I can’t say anything particularly bad about the food, but nothing really stood out either. The oysters were pretty good, and the bread basket was nice, but overall the meal didn’t leave much of an impression. I’ll give them credit for the pleasant atmosphere and the effort to create a fine dining experience. However, I don’t think I’d come back.

Where to begin... As we walked in the door, it seems as if we were annoying the hostess. She picked up some menus, handed them to us, then pointed to a table in the corner and said "take that table" or something to that effect. I don't think she spoke English very well. Not her fault, we're in Latvia, but still. Our waiter was brand new to the job, and didn't understand the menu well. We ordered dinner, and asked for a side of fries for my partner (my entrée came with fries), and also ordered an antipasti appetizer. They brought out something that was sort of? an antipasti, with grilled octopus and two slices of ham, some cheese, two olives, and some salami. octopus?? 🤔 Oh and with the appetizer came 2 side orders of fries. 😅 With the appetizer? Ok, we'll roll with it, could we get some mayonnaise, please? Sure. 2 euros EACH. About 10 minutes later, our waiter came back and said the dish my partner ordered was not available any longer (after recommending it highly), their menu is outdated, would she like to order something else? Then he went away and didn't come back for at least 15 minutes. When he finally came back, he took her order, and then we waited for our food. It took about 20 minutes. When it came, my food had a THIRD side order of fries. 🙄 My partner ordered another glass of wine, and the waiter took her glass. ...and disappeared never to be seen again until we both had finished our meals. My partner was so thirsty she asked to drink some of my beer. As we were finishing up, the waiter brought her glass of wine, apologizing that he had forgotten. We were done, so I asked for the check. The check was a comedy of errors. I was charged for 4 orders of fries 😅 They corrected it, but this just shows how chaotic this place was. 100 euros for mediocre food and terrible service. Your experience might be better, but I would NOT recommend this restaurant.
