Christian Counseling is a call on my life from God and what a mighty work it is to serve the Lord. My plan for life and God’s plan didn’t quite line up. Originally, the plan was to earn a degree in Music Education and become a Band Director because a music scholarship is what got me to Oklahoma. However, that plan fell short after I took my first course in Psychology. I have always felt that it is aspects of people’s lives that psychological theories can’t fix alone. I feel like God’s love, grace, mercy and Psychology are the perfect balance to life. Everything in my life has led up to me being a Christian Counselor and God has given me purpose
I was born and raised in Chicago, IL and I currently live in Tulsa, OK. I am married and have four beautiful daughters. We attend Concord Community Baptist Church where I am a Licensed Minister of the Gospel. In my spare time I like to go camping, go out to restaurants with the family to eat, and go to the movies. I also like to attend professional basketball games.
I served active duty in the United States Army from 2005-2009. I was deployed overseas to Germany and wartime in Iraq. I worked for the Oklahoma State Government as a Juvenile Justice Specialist. My job entailed me working with juvenile delinquents and their family system to lower the risk of the juveniles entering the adult system or the Department of Corrections. I worked with that population of kids for 11 years.
