Meet our newest therapist, Christy!
It is my great joy and deep honor to walk with clients as they journey toward health and healing. This is actually God's work, of course, but I love to be a part of it! I knew I wanted to work in the counseling field early on as I was always drawn to deep conversation and finding the beauty in both seasons of joy and pain. With over ten years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor and in the field of Human Resources, connecting with and helping people is what I enjoy most.
I work from a person-centered and cognitive behavioral approach. I love to help my clients sort through their thoughts and feelings to uncover negative thought patterns and replace them with truth. This is exciting work and clients are usually able to see movement quite quickly in the process. I use creative approaches to uniquely meet each client where they are at and move towards where they desire to go. Identifying one's goals is an integral part of my client's process!
I specialize in working with women who are struggling with particularly difficult seasons in life, adjustment to major changes, relational issues, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. I am honored to be a part of the holy work of counseling and love working with my clients.
