One of the things I love most about living in Stilwell is how our community shows up for each other, especially when it comes to helping families facing food insecurity. Next Saturday, Nov. 29, we’ll welcome the CPKC Holiday Train to Adair Park around 5:45 p.m. for a free live show featuring Smash Mouth and J.J. Wilde. The City of Stilwell is also hosting a Christmas Village from 1–7 p.m., complete with vendors, treats, workshops, a wreath contest, and a visit from Santa from 3–5 p.m. Entry is simply a canned good, heart-healthy food item, or a monetary donation—and every bit of it goes toward supporting local families in need. It’s events like this that remind me why Stilwell feels like home.
