Occasus Solis

This was, without a doubt, the most memorable dining experience we had on the island. From the very first moment, we were welcomed not just as guests, but as family. The owners are incredibly generous, kind, and genuine. It is rare to feel such warmth so instantly. The food was absolutely exceptional. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared with so much love, care, and generosity. You can taste the passion in every bite. We kept coming back multiple times because we simply could not get enough. The chef was also so gracious in accommodating special requests, which made everything feel even more personal and heartfelt. The ambiance is something truly special. It is warm, peaceful, and homey, yet still carries a quiet elegance that makes every meal feel like a fine dining experience. It felt like a place where you could slow down, be present, and truly enjoy every moment. What touched us the most was the people. There is such a beautiful, positive, and loving energy that fills this place, and it stays with you long after you leave. We are truly grateful to have met everyone who works there. A very special thank you to Eva and Ernaldo and the rest of the family. You all made this experience unforgettable in the most meaningful way. This is more than just a restaurant. It is a place filled with heart, and we will cherish it always. We highly recommend experiencing this for yourself. Please come and see what makes this place so special. You will not regret it. We had such a nice dinner here on our last day in Pygros! Food was amazing. We ordered the beef fillet and the lamb kebab as our main and the eggplant cheesecake as a starter. You can see the sunset so definitely go here for dinner. We were the only guests since its low season right now and our server Erald was super nice. Definitely would recommend! You might need to book a seat in the summer months :)

Amazing food, great staff, a beautiful view whilst eating and prices were good. Overall I had a lovely experience and will definitely be back during my stay!

The portions are generous and absolutely delicious. The service is attentive, and the staff goes out of their way to be helpful. A special shout-out to Eraldo for the fantastic attitude! To top it all off, since it was Easter, they kindly shared the tradition of *ovos vermelhos* (red eggs) with us, which made the experience even more memorable. If you’re passing through the area, don’t miss the chance to stop in for a truly wonderful meal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here! The hospitality was amazing and we were even offered blankets and heaters because we visited on a cooler night. Everything we had for food was 10/10- the dolmadkia, fresh bread with olive spread and moussaka (my first time trying) were highlights. This is a great place to dine when in the pyrgos area!

The food was amazing, we had tomato fritters, lamb shank and moussaka. All were extremely flavorful and melt in your mouth delicious. We sat on the downstairs patio that had screens to block the wind which was nice but could still enjoy the view through them. The owner stopped by and chatted, she was extremely nice and hospitabal. She recommended the cheesecake for dessert which was the best I've ever had in my life. And I have tried many cheesecakes in NY, this was much better and lighter. 12/10 would recommend!

10/10! Wonderful restaurant. I saw it had a full 5 stars and I was amazed and wanted to see what the hype was about. All I can say is that it lived up to the 5 star hype. The service was so friendly and the food was amazing, and you can’t forget about the view. Front row set to the sun set. Doesn’t get better than that

We visited today with my family and had a great experience. The mixed fish was absolutely delicious and very fresh. The service from Eraldo was excellent and he really made our day. We will definitely come back!
