Hands down, one of the best tour operators to work with! Nsavi safaris was absolutely fantastic - they were organized, personalized, and incredibly friendly! I had a work trip to Kampala and had always dreamed of seeing gorillas and chimpanzees in the wild. I only had 4 days to do an excursion (within Uganda) and learned of the trip without much time to prepare. My family also wanted to join. I emailed many tour operators and learned the hard truth about how difficult it was to secure permits on such short notice and travel between multiple parts of the country. Sarah from Nsavi Safaris was different - she responded extremely quickly, learned of what requirements our group would need, understood our budget, and quickly turned around an itinerary that completely encompassed what we had hoped! We loved the promptness of her communication via email and WhatsApp and her professionalism in crafting itineraries, building a customized website, and walking us through an international payment. She is very well connected with UWA and was a huge help in getting us permits! But do book in advance if you can!! We did a 4 day adventure - flying in the morning on a small plane from Kampala to get to Kibale for the chimps, driving to Queen Elizabeth National Park to get to Bwindi, then trekking through Bwindi followed by a next day morning flight back to Kampala. We got all of the highlights, stayed in very comfortable guest lodges/camps, and had an incredible experience seeing wildlife. Jasper, our guide, was there throughout the trip - he was very excited to share his experiences with us, chat with us about Ugandan culture, stop at the side of the road so we could take photos of the views, and even stopped for a mini-unplanned game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park. I also had the chance to get lunch with Sarah and chat about her business. She and Jasper also helped me pack a souvenir, which was above and beyond what I expected a tour operator to help with. Thank you Sarah, Jasper, and the rest of the team at Nsavi for an unforgettable experience! I was extremely happy to support a female-run small business that exceeded my expectations! We highly recommend others to book with Nsavi!!

Our trip was incredible from the very start. Prompt communication and arrangements were settled months before our trip and went as planned. We arrived in Entebbe and started our journey with Tyson as our guide. We had a long beautiful drive through Uganda making it to our first destination for the Gorillas. It was my birthday and even though it was a full day of driving, it was celebrated at the lodge with a cake and singing. The Gorilla trekking was the highlight for me! All of our mid range accommodations and food were excellent. Thank you for the memories!

I dealt with a few different tour operators on our trip to Africa, but Nsavi was by far the best! We booked a gorilla trekking safari with them and it was absolutely incredible! Their communication was excellent, Sarah always responded promptly to my questions and emails which made booking and coordinating our trip much easier. She came and met us at our hotel before we headed to Bwindi and was great at ensuring everything with our trip went smoothly. Our guide Lambert was great! Very friendly and knowledgeable about the region. Seeing the gorillas was a magical once in a lifetime experience that we'll never forget! On our return to Entebbe, the flight arrived earlier then expected due to weather and the plane schedules, which was no problem. To our delight, Sarah arranged for us to go to a hotel for the day (until our flight later in the evening) where we were able to rest by the pool and have lunch, and even arranged a driver to return us to the airport. This perfectly illustrates how Sarah and Nsavi went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible experience on our trip! I'm really happy and feel very fortunate we were able to have such a wonderful gorilla trekking experience thanks to Nsavi!

We had a great time using Nsavi Safaris! Relatively short time before our travel, we reached out to multiple safari companies, but only Nsavi was able to provide the gorilla safari. We are very thankful for all the excellent support from Victoria during planning of the trip, and also from our guide Francis during the actual trip. They were easy to communicate with, well connected and provided an experience of a lifetime. I can highly recommend Nsavi Safaris!! :)

We booked to have a safari in the Serengeti/other Tanzanian parks and do gorilla trekking in Uganda. Nsavi were great from the beginning answering our questions, planning options for our itinerary and executing the chosen itinerary. In Tanzania, we saw all 5 of the big 5 and lots of zebra, giraffes, wildebeests, hippos, big snakes, amongst more. Our guides (Erik and Gloria) were very friendly and experienced (15 years) and also showed us some local Tanzanian experiences in Arusha. There is a lot of poverty in Tanzania but the people there are very friendly and we felt especially safe with our guides. Gorilla trekking was also better than expected. We only had to walk maybe 10 minutes to see a gorilla family for an hour. We felt pretty safe next to the gorillas including the silverback and were able to really take in and enjoy watching the family eat and play for the hour. The trip to Uganda started in Rwanda which is a very safe and developed country - we walked around a bit on our own. Our guide jasper picked us up in Rwanda and drove us up to Uganda to take the trek. Uganda has a bit more poverty but the people there are quite friendly, and the country of Uganda is incredibly pretty. Our accommodation was great, very comfortable, and pretty luxurious despite choosing the budget/mid range hotel options. Some of the views were incredible like being on lake Kyoga in Uganda. We also heard lions outside at night at our tented hotel in the Serengeti (we still felt quite safe). 100% recommend the combined safari and gorilla trekking (in Uganda), i think you’d miss out if you did one without the other.

Above and beyond!! Our safari trip with Nsavi in Uganda was truly spectacular! Contact and planning were incredibly smooth, thanks to great support of Victoria. There was no issue to optimize the itinerary. During the trip we never felt rushed, fully enjoying every stop and its attractions, everything was planned seamlessly. The selection of hotels and activities (like coffee tour, community visit, Rhino sanctuary etc), was excellent. Our game drives were expertly prepared, with the best spots to track animals. Jasper, our tour guide, was the absolute highlight. His knowledge and open personality made all six days feel like spending time with a good friend. We enjoyed every minute of time together. We fully recommend Nsavi Safaris and will definitely book with them again!

We went to see gorillas. What we discovered was a magnificent country with mist filled mountainous gardens of Eden, lush and pristine rain forests and a bountiful array of wildlife in such varied and natural settings. And of course, the gorillas, which were extraordinary! Some of the music, dance and craftsmanship we learned from and shared with the local communities was fascinating and joyous with as many smiles as butterflies! Nsavi is owned and helmed by Sarah who perfectly organized our week in Uganda with a few days in Rwanda. She has a deep knowledge of both countries and adds a warm, personal touch. Every detail of our trip was impeccably arranged and seamless. We could not have been in better hands! We were also beyond lucky to be guided by Lucky, who excelled in every way. We’re already speaking with Sarah about our return!

We had an incredible 8 day trip through Uganda with Nsavi Safaris and it was truly amazing. The communication with Victoria prior to the trip was professional, friendly and on point at all times. Victoria organized every detail to our requests and provided us with detailed information about our upcoming adventure. Our driver and guide Bob was crucial in making our experience in Uganda outstanding. His attentiveness and dedication ensured that every request was met and his extensive knowledge of the country added depth to our trip. Throughout the trip we always felt safe and comfortable thanks to Bob's knowledge and care. The time we spent exploring Uganda was simply wonderful, with unforgettable stays in lodges, encounters with nature and the creation of lasting memories. The stunning landscapes and incredible wildlife of Uganda made it a very special destination. We sincerely thank Nsavi Safaris for organizing these unforgettable moments. Without a doubt, we would travel with Nsavi Safaris again and we highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a remarkable and well-organized safari experience. Thank you so much for making our trip through Uganda truly an unforgettable one!

I travelled with Nsavi Safaris for 15 days with my wife, mother and mother in-law. The trip that was planned by Victoria and executed by Jasper, was one of the most incredible experiences of our lives. From my first contact with Victoria she responded quickly and thoroughly to any questions or adjustments that I wished to make to the trip. This exceptional communication gave me confidence in the professionalism and knowledge of Nsavi. Victoria provided us with a fully customised itinerary that allowed us to experience everything that we hoped to, and more, at a budget and comfort level that fitted our requirements. Nsavi provided one of the best Safari vehicles that we saw in Uganda, with oversized windows and in better condition than many that we saw. Uganda is a remarkably diverse, beautiful and interesting place that our guide, Jasper, and Victoria are so passionate about sharing with the world. Whilst it may not be as well known as some of the other safari destinations in Africa, Uganda has absolutely everything that one could hope for in a Safari with the added bonus of an absolutely remarkable culture, stunning and varied landscape and (currently) less tourists than some of its neighbours. The quality of the accomodations that we stayed in during our trip were excellent and the service provided at each location was absolutely outstanding. Jasper was an amazing guide, he was professional and dedicated as well as passionate and a lot of fun. He took on any hints of what we may want and worked tirelessly to bring these desires to life. We managed to fit in more experiences during our trip than any of us thought possible, and Jasper was the key to making these happen. The wildlife viewing that we were treated to was phenomenal with so many highlights that we could not pick between them. We saw all of the animals that we had hoped for, up close and personal and quite often without another car or person in sight. Having recently completed a safari in Tanzania, the contrast between the 2 with regards to the volume of tourists is stark and would lead me to choose Uganda as my safari destination of choice. Thank you so much Victoria and Jasper.

We came to Uganda for 4 days in September 2023 to do chimpanzee tracking in Kibale and Gorilla tracking in Bwindi and we had the most amazing experience. Nsavi was very professional, quick to respond and friendly from the first email we exchanged. Victoria who is the managing director did a great job putting the itinerary together, booking amazing lodges and accommodating our needs. In Uganda we felt very welcome and in a very good care during our stay thanks to our guide Jacob. He was really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a really good time considering you spend quite a long time travelling in the Land Cruiser. Jacob also surprised us with a few extra breaks to get some authentic Ugandan experiences. Honestly, Nsavi could not have done a better job. I’d definitely be using their service again on my next visit to Uganda, hopefully for longer because it’s a beautiful country!
