I used this York company for fifteen years. Lately, it’s gone downhill. I had one engineer who refused to enter my loft to replace a ballcock, walking out without much explanation or arranging any follow up care. Other times they didn’t invoice me after a call out or contact me in any way, then sent letters threatening legal action in the County Court for non-payment two-three months later. I don’t recommend them and I have stopped using them.

We've used Norton's for a few years now to carry out annual services on our gas boiler. They responded quickly to a recent leak and after making a decision to buy a new boiler, they were able to supply and install it within days or placing our order. Fitters Andy and Ryan were friendly and approachable, explaining what they were doing and getting the job done as quickly as possible (on a very cold January day). They went through the controls after the installation and within a day, we received paperwork to confirm that our Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 boiler was fully compliant and installed by registered and approved fitters. It's reassuring to know that with its 10 year warranty, we're covered, warm and leak free!

Great service as always. Time was taken to answer any questions we had during the service and the engineer was really polite and knowledgeable, even giving us advice for future plans we have regarding our old gas fire and back boiler. Will definitely be using them again. 2025 - we have just used Nortons again for our boiler service and also to install a Hive thermostat. Again, very knowledgeable and friendly. Very happy with the service

Nortons have undertaken an annual boiler service and a Landlord's Gas Safety check at our property for five years.. We have found them totally reliable. The most recent boiler service was carried out by Cary, who was friendly, very efficient and helpful....an excellent representative for the company! Thank you!

I was expecting a major challenge when my dad's boiler keeled over on Christmas Eve, but Nortons were very professional and on the case with replacement straightaway . Great job, good communication - highly recommended!

Strange advice from the engineer Cary Derry who set the central heating water temperature to max 80 degrees. Ideal and everyone else recommend 60-65 degrees for a combi boiler. Also he didn't spot the Sentinal filter hidden in the cupboard below the boiler but he could have queried it with us as our house & the heating system is only 2 years old. Having said that the service was carried out efficiently and the price was the going rate. Booking the service was straightforward.

Nortons did a good job of replacing a boiler. Their engineers were friendly and efficient. They also came out quick to diagnose issues with the old system.

As always Norton's Service was impeccable and professional at all times. I had asked if my old boiler could be repaired as I was rather reluctant to replace the boiler even though it was quite old. Rather than just reject my request out of hand because of the age of the boiler Andy Norton took time out to check the situation himself and then phoned me personally to explain why there was really no alternative to a complete replacement. Once the decision was taken to install a new Worcester Bosch boiler the job was completed within two day of my instruction. Great care was taken by the Engineer to avoid causing any damage to the tiled boxing around the existing boiler pipework and also to reinstate the boxing out after the completion of the boiler installation. My tenants were happy and Norton's Engineer took care to ensure that their SMART heating control system was fully compatible with the new boiler before completing the job.
