I had my survey done with Ralph Miller at the end of November 2021 for insurance purpose. He did above and beyond my expectation on the survey. On top of finding critical safety issue, that I was unaware on my backstay. He help me build some stainless steel bracket in his shop for me to reinforce the backstay. I do not know many surveyor that Helpful. I gave him a five-star and I would recommend Ralph Miller to anyone. I definitely get to see him in 3 years for my insurance survey again. Thanks Ralph.

Ralph Miller (and Tiff, his wife) surveyed a 45-foot sailboat we wanted to buy; Ralph was experienced, generous with is time, completely dedicated to facilitating our purchasing decision. He went above and beyond expectations at all times of the survey. His survey report came 24hrs after the survey was completed, and I know he visited the boat a few times before we got there, and several times after we had left to check on details that he felt we may have missed. He was prepared, autonomous, resourceful, most pleasant and extremely thorough: as a buyer, I'd rather know ALL there is to know about the boat and decide which details I'll ignore, and this is exactly what Ralph provided. I will undoubtedly contact him again to oversee work needed on the boat if we decide to move forward with this vessel.

Ralph did a pre purchase survey for a sailboat I bought recently. I can’t recommend him enough. I didn’t think I needed a survey but went ahead and got one anyway and am glad I did. Ralph found 2 simple problems that I would never have found, which if left unnoticed could have dismasted the boat or had the rudder fall off. Ralph was extremely thorough and had detailed survey available the following day. He has also made himself available after the survey to answer questions I had about systems on the boat. He is a true master of his craft and an all around good human!

We needed a pre-purchase survey done on a Kadey Krogen 42. Our broker put us in touch with Ralph who came out a few days later and spent the entire day going over her with a fine toothed comb. I had heard stories about some surveyors not being thorough, not Ralph! He was very meticulous and actually encouraged me to stay close to him as he performed the survey. As he found issues he discussed what he was finding and ways to go about repairs. It was a crash course in boat care and quite the education. I simply can't say enough good! Money and time well spent!

Ralph stepped in last minute (literally, the day before the survey was meant to happen) to help us with the purchase of a venerable 44' sailboat. He really went above and beyond as the pandemic meant we could not travel to see the boat in person. He rearranged his schedule so we could meet the terms of our contract, sent us dozens of photographs, spoke to us regularly over the phone, and went back to the boat at least 4 times to ensure that concerns he had were addressed to his satisfaction. We recommend Ralph wholeheartedly. Having had his eyes on the boat we feel more confident than if we had actually been able to go and see her for ourselves. Should this sale not go through, we will definitely go back to Ralph for his help. He's been an absolute star.
