North By Northwest Services recently replaced a rusted, 30–40-year-old 200 amp meter main on a pole serving a home in St. Helens. The original meter was heavily corroded and no longer up to code, posing safety and reliability concerns.
Our team removed the outdated equipment and installed a new 200 amp meter on a pressure-treated plywood backboard for long-term durability. We reused the existing pole and ran new conduit and wiring up to restore full functionality.
We coordinated closely with the utility company to safely disconnect power during the swap and ensured service was restored promptly after the upgrade. The result: a safer, more reliable power supply that meets today’s electrical standards.
