North Burnaby Pet Hospital Ltd

Our 6-month-old dachshund, Pepe, recently had his cryptorchid neuter at the hospital, and everything went smoothly. I was very anxious because it was his first procedure and a cryptorchid neuter is more complex, since they have to go into the abdomen to remove the undescended testicle. But the whole team was wonderful! Pepe received so much love and care from everyone at the clinic. Dr. Imani even did a home visit one week after the surgery, and we went back at the 14-day mark to have his stitches removed. It has now been a week since then, and his scar looks incredible already. You’d think it had been healing for months. Thank you to everyone who looked after our baby, and a special shout-out to Sue, Jamie, and of course Dr. Imani. We are so grateful for the care and kindness you gave Pepe!

I was extra nervous going into today because Dalgoo has an underlying condition, so the whole thing felt a lot scarier than a regular spay. But Dr. Imani was incredibly thorough with her health check, going over every single detail and even showing me things I had no idea about. I originally didn’t want to touch her tooth issueI thought maybe we could just leave it for now. But he showed me everything today, and her tooth was actually buried deep inside, growing the wrong way and already pushing against another one. If I didn’t listen to him, I wouldn’t have known she was already in pain. I’m so, so thankful he gently convinced me to do what was best for her. And the whole team… honestly, I don’t even know how to express how grateful I am. They were so sweet and kept giving her extra comfort because they knew she’d be anxious. They even asked me how to pronounce “이모 (imo)” properly (which means “Auntie,” like “mom’s friend”), because they wanted Dalgoo to hear it exactly the way she’s used to—so she wouldn’t feel like she was with strangers. They kept calling themselves her “이모” just to help her feel safe. My heart…♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ They told me not to worry, that they’ll keep an eye on her closely, and if anything comes up—especially something I might not notice—the doctor himself will personally come check on her. That kind of care is so rare, and I appreciate it more than I can say. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who took care of my little girl today. I’ll never forget it. 💛

If I could give 10 stars, I would!!! From the friendly front desk staff to the amazing vet techs and the incredible Dr. Imani, every single person at North Burnaby Animal Hospital genuinely cares. I switched my cat over from her old vet, and honestly, it has been the best decision ever. They’re worth every minute of the 45-minute drive for me!!! The entire team treats your pets like their own. My cat had been acting strangely, and while other vets couldn’t figure it out, this team did a full work-up and actually got to the root of the problem. What I love most is that there’s never any pressure. Dr. Imani always goes over every option, walks you through the pros and cons, and even gives cost estimates so you know exactly what to expect. The honesty and transparency are unmatched. And the follow up calls? That extra check in to see how your pet’s doing? It truly melts my heart. You can’t fake that kind of compassion. Recently, I fostered a rescue dog from Cabo, Mexico, and brought him in for a nail trim. I brought him over for a seemingly simple procedure, because I had my doubts about the health of this dog considering the state he was flown over in (poor thing had long talon like nails). Dr. Imani and vet tech Amir Hussain went above and beyond, they were so gentle, kind, and thorough. They explained everything this poor guy had been through in simple terms I could actually understand (which is saying something since I’ve never owned a dog before!). They gave me clear options and next steps, but never once pushed unnecessary treatments. Every single person at this clinic radiates empathy and kindness. You can tell they’re in this for the right reasons, to help animals and support the people who love them. I’m endlessly grateful for their care, their honesty, and their huge hearts. If you’re looking for a vet that feels like family... this is it!! 🐾💖

An absolutely amazing clinic! I had an emergency with my cat and called almost every single hospital in GVA. Among all, Dr. Imani was super responsive and arrived super quick! He and his assistant were very polite, patient and just kind. Highly recommended and thank you so much! 🫶🏻

Dr. Imani is amazing! He’s knowledgeable, kind, and truly cares about his patients. My dog usually gets nervous at the vet, but he’s always calm and comfortable with Dr. Imani. You can tell he really loves what he does and takes the time to explain everything clearly. The whole team is friendly and professional , I couldn’t ask for a better vet! Highly recommend.

Totally recommended!!! As freaked out as I was for my cat, Dr. Imani and the staff treated us with lots of kindness, answered every question and treated my baby gently and professionally. Even brought the meds to my door the next day!! The kind of service when you know that the clinic cares and the staff loves their job. Many thanks!

I can truly not say enough wonderful things about the entire staff and level of care and compassion of everyone working here and it’s always a very personable experience they bond and connect with each of their animal patients. The prices are the most fair and honest out of any clinic that I have ever been to. It’s not about the money for them in my experiences like a lot of other clinics are focused on, they love what they do and the patients that come in their doors. Thank you for always making it a very positive experience every time.
