NIA Services tried to repair the automatic door closer they installed for me a week or so ago because it wasn't closing the door fully. NIA services filed down my door threshold without asking while I was in the house because they did not want to take a door down - by the technicians own admission. I told them I would prefer better weatherproofing over the door closer working and to let me know when they were pushing the rim of our weather proofing BEFORE they filed the door threshold. Later I heard the sound of wood being filed and came downstairs. When I caught them they were apologetic and acknowledged they should have asked. But my weather proofing is now worse and the automatic door closer they tried to fix for 2 hours works about the same. NIA Services offered to fill what they filed with silicone.. in the cold dry winter. I had no confidence they would do this properly so I'm going to do it myself then replace our door threshold. We had NIA Services in for 3 pieces of work: 1. Rekeying 2 doors 2. Repairing or replacing a door handle 3. Installing an automatic door closer The first two were fine. I was surprised they weren't able to replace the spring in the door handle and needed to replace the whole handle. I personally would not use them again.

I can’t say enough good things about this locksmith company.
