I had Newtons out to replace my older oil furnace with a Napoleon duel fuel propane/heatpump setup. They were able to remove the old oil tank from the basement without any mess or smell. The guys were super professional and did an amazing job. The new system works really great, and is super quiet. It’s great that it switch’s automatically between heat pump for cost savings and propane to help in the really cold moments.

We have used Newtons for service calls on a broken furnace and replacing said furnace eventually. We then moved into a new house and had to cap 2 gas lines. Each time we have contacted them before, during and after service, we were met with excellent customer service. All staff have been kind, patient, punctual and professional. Came to edit - we've now also used them for plumbing, where we were provided with the same service as for the gas.

Newton's is great! We have had them twice, once for a panel upgrade and hot tub installation at our house, and once to complete a renovation at our cottage, including rewiring most of it, upgrading from fuse boxes to panels, and a bunch of work underneath the cottage (multiple trades involved, including plumbing). Newton's communicated exactly what they would do and when, coordinated all trades and Hydro, were on time, and very responsive. I had a lot of questions, and they handled my questions with honest, clear explanations. There were no hidden charges, and everything they did was tidy, organized, and on time. Liam and Morgan were highly professional, friendly, and efficient. You will not be disappointed if you hire Newtons!

Jim Newtons Electric was a fantastic service provider to deal with! I will definitely deal with them in the future for all my electrical needs. Craig was fantastic in giving me updates on when the team was going to be at my house to do the repair work, great communication between the office and the workers. James, Dave and the other electricians (sorry forgot names) who were helping with my issue (which turned out to be 10x a bigger job than we thought) were all wonderful. Dave went above and beyond my expectations, such a wonderful gentleman! He was very meticulous in his work and clean up, and left me with minimal patch work for some areas they needed access too. Everyone I spoke to was very friendly, personable, and polite. Always open to answering any questions about what they were doing. 10/10 reccomend the team at Newtons. Very pleased!

Professional service from start to finish. We were assisted in choosing the right equipment for our needs. A ductless heat pump. The installation was scheduled soon after we made our decision. The installers were fantastic; respectful, polite and helpful. They stayed until they were sure all was running as it should. The installation site was clean and tidy when the job was completed. Warranty was filed with the manufacturer on our behalf. Such a great team to work with. Highly recommend Newtons Electric. Carol and Jerry Scott Tiny, Ontario EDIT We have now had our Naapoleon Ductless Heat Pump for a week and we love it!

This is a shout out for Newton’s. There was a billing issue that they made right. There were several communication errors during our interactions with them, because this was a unique situation where multiple bills needed to be created during one visit. However, Newton’s took the time to stand behind their customer care, and make it right. Thank you, Craig, for taking the time to hear my concerns and have an open dialogue. This was a very unique and uncommon situation, and I appreciate you making adjustments and taking care of the customer. The very bottom line is that because of the billing process, there was an extra service call charge. This may have made sense on paper and through the billing department, but it wasn’t what we had anticipated, or agreed to. It was simply one of those funny things because of how the billing needed to be in the situation. But moving beyond that Craig went back-and-forth between us and sorted everything out in our favor. But to speak to the electricians that came on site, both were very knowledgeable and genuinely kind and caring people. I spoke to Craig over the phone about the billing error, and he was also helpful and a pleasure to deal with. What could’ve been a very negative and upsetting situation turned out to be a positive outcome, and I would recommend using these guys based on our experience. Even though it was a little bit frustrating, it was an exceptional circumstance and we were treated very well and were heard when we raised our concerns. They also rectified the error in our favour, which speaks volumes to the caring and concern of a company in my opinion. There was a point there where I could have thought they were pulling a fast one, but following our conversations, the concern and care they showed, and the genuine people who visited our home, I really don’t believe that was ever the intent. I would absolutely use Newton’s again and I would highly recommend and appreciate their service. This could’ve been a negative experience but the electricians in-house were great and dealing with the billing issue actually was a pleasure, believe it or not, because I had a nice conversation with Craig that encompassed more than just the electrical work but also other conversational pieces as well. He shared with me and he took the time to listen to what I had to say. Thank you Craig for making this right. There was a great opportunity for failure here and for us to never return to a company because of a simple mistake. Because of your due diligence and your attention we are very happy, and we would highly recommend your service. It’s actually nice to know that if there are issues the company conducts themselves properly in these situations, and that is why I am writing this post.

They did the insurance rebuild on my home. While the workmanship was great they cut corners at the end without notice. I tried to get replacement LED strip lights for my kitchen cabinets and it took 3 followup calls to be told they no longer carried that brand/style.

I engaged Newton's Electric to install a gas stove in my house. The installer arrived on-time and completed the work in a very efficient manner. I am very pleased by the service I received from Newton's...I would highly recommend them and won't hesitate to call them again.

Unfortunately our experience with this company is far from being satisfactory. A new generator was installed in about Nov 2016 for our solar system but no instructions were ever given. We had to call to have it serviced and when I asked how many hours were on it I was told that it had not been recorded....found out a couple of months later there was only 1 hour on it as it wasn't hooked up correctly and had never ran for the entire year...obviously we had enough sun and didn't have a need for a lot of power. When it failed to start in January 2018 we called Newton's and a service technician came out promptly and serviced it again after telling us that it was using oil... apparently it had shut off when the oil got too low. The generator had around 200 hours on it by then. We contacted the owner and requested some assistance with Kohler...the generator manufacturer. We were told nothing could be done but he would come out to check on it himself. We have never received a followup visit. We had been contacted by the company in order to pay the latest bill on the service call but I told them that when the owner came we would discuss payment with him. Again no further contact has been made. Its very sad for a company not to back the equipment that they sell. We were not asking for handouts just some assistance in getting some action on a piece of equipment which is suppose to be good quality only to have it fail with few hours on it. I should mention that we were told that the warranty on the unit was only a year when used for solar but on Kohler website it says 18 months....however since it hadn't ran but the initial set up of one hour in one year there should have been some responsibility taken by this company.
