Emergency Tree Removal – Purple Robe Locust in Reno, NV
Today in Reno, Nevada, we responded to the failure of a mature Robinia pseudoacacia ‘Purple Robe’ that experienced complete uprooting due to extreme wind conditions. The tree exhibited root plate failure, likely exacerbated by shallow rooting in sandy, well-drained soil and recent desiccating winds.
We performed a safe and efficient removal, carefully extracting the root mass and protecting adjacent plantings and hardscape features. Windthrow events like this underscore the importance of regular tree risk assessments, especially in exposed urban landscapes.
