Before & After – Austrian Black Pine Pruning (Pinus nigra)
This mature Austrian Black Pine had accumulated extensive deadwood throughout the canopy, along with several large broken limbs caused by last year’s heavy snow loads. I performed a detailed crown clean, systematically removing hazardous dead branches, storm-damaged wood, and interior clutter to restore structural integrity and canopy health.
In addition, I provided clearance pruning from the house and drop power lines, improving safety and reducing conflicts with nearby structures. Selective pruning also helps reduce windsail effect and mitigates the risk of future branch failure under snow accumulation and high winds.
The result is a healthier, safer, and more resilient tree with improved airflow, light penetration, and structural balance.
