Often people only see the outcome.
The completed task.
The finished project.
The good performance.
What they don’t see is the effort underneath.
The extra planning.
The masking.
The mental energy spent processing information.
The strategies used to stay regulated.
For many neurodivergent people, success can require unseen layers of effort.
Recognising that effort matters.
Because understanding the process helps us create environments where people don’t have to work twice as hard just to be seen as capable.
