Our first garage door installation with Navpoint Garage Doors went smoothly; however, the pricing was significantly higher than other quotes we received for the same Clopay garage door from other authorized Clopay dealers. The difference was approximately $4,500. We still chose Navpoint based on positive feedback we had heard.
Unfortunately, our experience with the second door was not positive.
Prior to ordering, it was clearly communicated to Nav, the owner, that installation on the carport side could not proceed until final inspection was completed. Nav indicated this would not be an issue, and based on that understanding, a deposit was paid.
After several weeks, we began receiving frequent emails and text messages requesting full payment, along with suggestions that the doors could be stored on our property. We explained that we did not have suitable space for storage and were concerned about potential damage to the doors.
Subsequently, Charn, another owner, contacted us and stated that the garage doors had been destroyed due to high storage costs from Clopay. I cannot independently verify this information and can only share what was communicated to us.
As of our last communication, we were not provided the garage doors, nor was our deposit refunded.
While the initial installation was completed, our overall experience involved pricing concerns, ongoing payment pressure, unclear communication, and unresolved issues regarding the deposit and delivery of the second door. Based on our experience, I would recommend that others obtain multiple quotes and clearly document all terms in writing before proceeding with Navpoint Garage Doors.
