We upgraded the home’s water heating system by replacing two existing tank-style water heaters and the recirculation pump with a modern tankless setup.
🚿 Scope of work included:
Removal and proper disposal of old water heaters and recirculation pump
Modifications to the venting system, including drilling through a concrete wall
Installation of new 3” PVC vent pipes routed to the exterior
Upgrading gas supply lines with dedicated ¾” lines for each tankless unit
Installation of sediment traps and new shut-off valves
💧 Water system upgrades:
Reconfiguration of hot and cold water supply lines
Replacement of the main 1¼” water shut-off valve
Installation of new recirculation lines for improved hot water distribution
⚙️ Tankless system installation:
Installation of two high-capacity tankless water heaters (200,000 BTU each) in a cascade system
System designed for efficient operation under normal demand, with automatic activation of the second unit during peak usage
🌧️ Additional work:
Installation of a dedicated condensate pump to safely discharge wastewater to the exterior
✔️ The system is now more efficient, reliable, and designed to provide continuous hot water throughout the home.
