Mt Albert BBQ Noodle House

Local takeaway for my family for years. This place is an absolute God send. The food tastes incredible and the price for the portion sizes is incredible. I always leave this place being either too full or leftovers for future me. With the atmosphere being like your truly in an Asian restaurant. It reminds me of home and it is such and amazing comfort food place when I'm missing home. Do make sure you go to the right one. This one is the one with the red sign and a wooden building.

Headed there because we were craving Asian food. The fried rice with roast pork was quite tasty. And the fried noodles were good too. Huge portions and they were generous with the protein. There's an exact same ish shop next door with the same name. Rather confusing but we were glad we went to this one.

Cumin lamb hot plate - they are VERY generous with the cumin seasoning, so good! My personal favourite is the chilli salt and pepper squid - spice level would be 1 out of 5, not spicy! Dumplings were your average dumplings, nice and firm Bokchoy is so good to have as a side dish!

We had a fantastic experience here. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, making it a really enjoyable place to sit down and eat. The food was excellent, with generous portions and plenty of meat, eggs, and other fresh ingredients that made every dish satisfying and full of flavour. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff were genuinely caring and attentive throughout our visit. They made sure we had everything we needed, brought us drinks promptly, provided plates for the bones without us even having to ask, and consistently checked that everything was going well. Their friendliness and attention to detail made us feel well looked after from start to finish. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and outstanding service. We'll certainly be coming back!

The lady at the counter was so super helpful. I wanted Wan Tan Hor, which was not on the menu but the lady was so super accommodating and made it for me. I was so thrilled. I will be back !

A true cornerstone of Mt Albert, you’ve gotta drop in next time you’re  in the neighbourhood. Friendly service, outstanding portion sizes. And true to their name, these guys know noodles. 10/10.

This place is an absolute local institution - have been coming here with my dad since I was a child. And now with my partner and many friends. They have our favourite roast duck in Auckland, love the Singapore vermicelli and the sweet and sour pork (also props to their salt and pepper squid not pictured). This place is awesome.

I bought hot and spicy pork belly with cabbage this is my go to order but this time my order taste so different than What I can remember It’s lacking it’s flavour so it wasn’t that nice to eat with Rice. I do hope that the quality of this flavour is something that’s not gonna last and they’re gonna bring back the old one but even this version is quite sad

came in to have a try as i was passing thru mt albert hub as ages i last came here, so ordered the medium roast chook on rice and chook was good but rice abit lumpy (see pic). But glad they listen to my request for the breast part eh yay. So much to choose from menu too.

More photos added during our 24 Oct - among our many - visits of this popular Chinese eatery, but take note of the smaller shop next door with the same name, funny that. Parking depends on evening events around Auckland- ample enough. Come in, and you're pointed to a vacant table. Menu choices aplenty. This time, beef noodles, salted pepper chicken and fried rice. Seems taste has improved during our last visits, not over- or under-seasoned, better overall. Reasonably priced. Great for simple family, or small group gatherings.
