It has been a couple of years since I have eaten here, it was always pretty good for quick cheap Chinese, open late, great people watching, and felt I needed a visit. It was a Monday night after 9pm, they are open til 1am, so wasn’t too packed. First thing I noticed was there wasn’t as many tables as they used to have in there’s, they used to be packed in, but seemed more space. Free Chinese tea, maybe free soup?? Same menu, prices still pretty good. So we got braised Hapuka, tofu and vege dish on rice, crispy roast pork on rice, and combination bbq thick noodles for 3 of us, and a big bottle of coke. Food arrived at our table so quick, piping hot, and dishes brought out all together! Yum, just as I remember. Plastic cups and plates budget as, but hey it is what it is, and I think you would be hard pressed to find similar prices for amount of food anywhere. I’m pretty sure the dishes cheaper than takeaway prices. Took 2 takeaway containers home and we were all stuffed. Log cabin interior is a biit old, but the main thing cheap quick nice fresh food is what matters

Brilliant roast chicken. 8/10 for many dishes I tried. 10 being world class Chinese. So, that’s impressive. Service was very slow but generous and attentive when you ask. Low cost. Definitely recommend.

The food was nice here. I bought chicken fried rice and other stuff. It was big portions and very affordable prices. The food came very fast. Nice customer service. Heaps of table and chairs inside. Open till late.

Hi, I ordered roasted duck 🦆 an hour ago but I realized mixed with chicken. I know the difference between and chicken and a duck. I hope next time when I order duck just duck only no need to mix with chicken meat.

We recently tried Mt Albert BBQ noodle house and ordered the Beef Fried Rice Noodles, Honey Garlic Chicken, and Deep Fried Hot and Spiced Beef. The portions were generous, making it great value for the price. The beef noodles were flavorful and perfectly cooked, while the hot and spiced beef had a satisfying crunch and a nice kick. The honey garlic chicken was a bit on the sweeter side, but still quite tasty. Overall, it’s a rare find with quality dishes at an affordable price. Definitely worth a visit!

Interior is superb wooden furniture ..organized waiters serving at tables and good cleaning up ready for next patrons. My gosh the yummy milk shakes .. can get busy quickly . Good for children groups or couple's. Also Uber service is available Everything is good on the menu My favourite drink is the pineapple yogurt There is a ordering panel before you go in if you like to order there or inside. Parking can be difficult street parking

More photos added during our 24 Oct - among our many - visits of this popular Chinese eatery, but take note of the smaller shop next door with the same name, funny that. Parking depends on evening events around Auckland- ample enough. Come in, and you're pointed to a vacant table. Menu choices aplenty. This time, beef noodles, salted pepper chicken and fried rice. Seems taste has improved during our last visits, not over- or under-seasoned, better overall. Reasonably priced. Great for simple family, or small group gatherings.

Customer service is excellent. They are patient, polite, and welcome. They listen and explain their food to us well. Food price is cheap and it is served with huge portion. I have never finished all of food by myself. I always ask for containers to take it home. Parking is on the street and it's a bit difficult as you have to do parallel and it is near traffic lights.

This was a fantastic dining experience - all meals were lovely and tasty to the max. Great service - very friendly. The pork belly and cabbage was my favourite followed by the Peking duck the squid and the sweet and sour pork - all were flavourful - would be a regular if I lived in Auckland - but will dine here whenever I am in Auckland.
