Local takeaway for my family for years. This place is an absolute God send. The food tastes incredible and the price for the portion sizes is incredible. I always leave this place being either too full or leftovers for future me. With the atmosphere being like your truly in an Asian restaurant. It reminds me of home and it is such and amazing comfort food place when I'm missing home. Do make sure you go to the right one. This one is the one with the red sign and a wooden building.

Headed there because we were craving Asian food. The fried rice with roast pork was quite tasty. And the fried noodles were good too. Huge portions and they were generous with the protein. There's an exact same ish shop next door with the same name. Rather confusing but we were glad we went to this one.

Cumin lamb hot plate - they are VERY generous with the cumin seasoning, so good! My personal favourite is the chilli salt and pepper squid - spice level would be 1 out of 5, not spicy! Dumplings were your average dumplings, nice and firm Bokchoy is so good to have as a side dish!

A true cornerstone of Mt Albert, you’ve gotta drop in next time you’re  in the neighbourhood. Friendly service, outstanding portion sizes. And true to their name, these guys know noodles. 10/10.

This place is an absolute local institution - have been coming here with my dad since I was a child. And now with my partner and many friends. They have our favourite roast duck in Auckland, love the Singapore vermicelli and the sweet and sour pork (also props to their salt and pepper squid not pictured). This place is awesome.

More photos added during our 24 Oct - among our many - visits of this popular Chinese eatery, but take note of the smaller shop next door with the same name, funny that. Parking depends on evening events around Auckland- ample enough. Come in, and you're pointed to a vacant table. Menu choices aplenty. This time, beef noodles, salted pepper chicken and fried rice. Seems taste has improved during our last visits, not over- or under-seasoned, better overall. Reasonably priced. Great for simple family, or small group gatherings.

The food was nice here. I bought chicken fried rice and other stuff. It was big portions and very affordable prices. The food came very fast. Nice customer service. Heaps of table and chairs inside. Open till late.

Customer service is excellent. They are patient, polite, and welcome. They listen and explain their food to us well. Food price is cheap and it is served with huge portion. I have never finished all of food by myself. I always ask for containers to take it home. Parking is on the street and it's a bit difficult as you have to do parallel and it is near traffic lights.

Mt Albert BBQ Noodle House is an absolute five star experience and a must visit for anyone who appreciates authentic Cantonese style barbecue and noodle dishes. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly roasted meats sets the tone. The display of glistening roast duck and perfectly caramelised BBQ pork hanging in the window is enough to make your mouth water. The meats are consistently tender, flavourful, and cooked to perfection. The roast duck has crispy skin with juicy meat underneath, while the BBQ pork strikes the perfect balance between sweetness and savoury richness. The noodle dishes are equally impressive. Whether you order a wonton noodle soup or a dry noodle plate with roast meats on top, the portions are generous and satisfying. The broth is clean and comforting, allowing the natural flavours of the ingredients to shine. The wontons are packed with filling and have a great texture. Service is efficient and straightforward, which suits the style of the restaurant. Food arrives quickly and piping hot. It is the kind of place where the focus is on quality and consistency rather than unnecessary frills. The pricing is very reasonable for the portion size and quality, making it excellent value. It is ideal for a casual lunch, quick dinner, or takeaway when you want something comforting and reliable. Overall, Mt Albert BBQ Noodle House delivers authentic flavour, generous servings, and consistent quality. It is one of those places you return to again and again because it simply gets it right every time.

We recently tried Mt Albert BBQ noodle house and ordered the Beef Fried Rice Noodles, Honey Garlic Chicken, and Deep Fried Hot and Spiced Beef. The portions were generous, making it great value for the price. The beef noodles were flavorful and perfectly cooked, while the hot and spiced beef had a satisfying crunch and a nice kick. The honey garlic chicken was a bit on the sweeter side, but still quite tasty. Overall, it’s a rare find with quality dishes at an affordable price. Definitely worth a visit!
