I had brain and neck MRI scans at Hendon yesterday. I suffer from severe claustrophobia and was dreading the scan even though it was an open scanner. The Receptionist was lovely and welcoming on arrival. My husband was allowed to come in with me. Danny how did the scans and his female colleague were amazing. Despite it being an "open MRI" I still had episodes of panic and anxiety. I was scanned for a total of 2 hours but throughout it all Danny was so calm, patient and reassuring, he kindly got me out of the scanner after each scan to allow me to calm down and only put me back in when I said I was ready. He had the patience of a saint! So very much appreciated. Thank you so much to the great team there.

I had a disappointing experience with MRI Plus. They did an MRI of my left knee in May 2025. With regards to my meniscus, the radiologist report mentioned a focal tear. Based on this info, I began physio. When things didn't improve sufficiently, I later saw a surgical consultant. He said the MRI images were of poor quality, yet still showed a clear bucket handle meniscus tear — something the MRI Plus radiologist report completely missed. A follow-up MRI elsewhere confirmed this. A bucket handle tear should be identified promptly, as it can sometimes be repaired if treated quickly. The fact that it wasn’t flagged in the initial report delayed my diagnosis and treatment. For what it is worth, I did a search on the radiologist who complied the report, and see from his LinkedIn profile that he is based in a developing world country. I assume this, combined with the cheaper equipment MRI Plus uses is why they offer their scans for a slightly cheaper price than elsewhere. I have contacted MRI Plus to discuss this, but I never received a response. Based on my experience, I would not recommend MRI Plus and would advise others to consider alternative providers where image quality, radiologist skill and communication with the customer are taken more seriously.

Excellent staff. They did everything to make me comfortable. Went above and beyond. I am claustrophobic and i normally do not react well in a scanner, but with their open scanner, it saved me a lot of stress and panic. Best experience i had ever for an MRI

The receptionist at this place, where I had an open MRI scan yesterday, was very polite and helpful. The staff is extremely kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. The equipment and technicians they have are excellent at their jobs. I highly recommend it.

Overall a poor experience - I had a knee scan and although everyone was polite, the scan seemingly went fine, and I received the report quickly, when the actual images were sent over to the NHS (which I understand took a very long time) they were of very poor quality and very grainy making them difficult to read. The surgeon who looked over them reported that based on what they could tell from the images they didn't agree with some of the findings in the report I was provided with. I think its worth just paying a bit more for a better service, which I will be doing in future if I require another scan.

I had my hand MRI done today, and the radiographer, Ashok Sharma, was extremely professional and kind. He explained the process clearly, made me feel comfortable throughout, and handled everything with great care. A very polite and helpful person—I truly appreciate his professionalism and positive attitude. Highly recommended!

We arrived a bit early but were kept waiting for 25 minutes which was not the best when my son was so nervous about having this procedure. The place was not as clean as you would expect for a private hospital., there was no toilet paper in the WC. The receptionist was very pleasant also the radiologist was helpful. The images were given to us immediately and the report is to follow in next couple of days.

I’m extremely claustrophobic, so the thought of undergoing a two-hour MRI was genuinely terrifying. But I have to give full credit to the incredible staff at MRI Plus for how calm and reassured they made me feel throughout the process. Ashok Sharma, who conducted my MRI, was patient, kind and incredibly supportive. Even before that, Ashwini at the reception set the tone with her warm and understanding approach. They both went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and informed every step of the way. MRI Plus – you should be incredibly proud to have such compassionate professionals on your team. They truly put patients first. Thank you Ashok and Ashwini – you’re both amazing!

Great service at MRI Plus in Hendon. The scan was reasonably priced and the report only took 2 days to arrive. Radiographer Ashok Sharma put me at ease as I was slightly claustrophobic going into the scanner. I would not have been referred through the NHS for a scan so I really appreciate this service
