Matt worked wonders with my 6-month-old Vizsla/Weimaraner puppy. In just one session, he had her heeling beautifully, ignoring other dogs, and even leaving fresh chicken—something I didn’t think was possible! She was completely mesmerized by his calm, kind, but firm approach. We’ve come away with homework and, more importantly, a deeper understanding of our pup’s anxiety and how to support her. Matt spent the afternoon at my home going through various simple step by step puppy training techniques with me. Everything was very clear and I was able to visually see it in action with my puppy, the results were incredible and it made me see what is possible with commitment and consistency. We had our first session with Matt today and it was amazing! Our 11 month old Gatsby really took to the training straight away, and we were left with so many practical lessons that we can put into action at home. What stood out most was how clear and approachable Matt’s teaching style is, he made sure we understood not just what to do, but why it works, which gave us a lot of confidence moving forward. Gatsby was completely engaged throughout the session, and it was definitely so rewarding to see him respond so positively in such a short amount of time. I recently contacted Matt as I was at the edge and we had an initial discussion about our dog’s challenges which was helpful in its own right. I decided that if just talking to him was helpful then it would be well worth having a session with him to try and help with our 2.5 yr old English Bulldog who was sound reactive, dog reactive and also people reactive (to strangers). We booked in for a session and Matt came to the house and spent about 4 hours going through how to we can set the best foundations to have a well balanced and trained dog but also how we can work to address his particular challenges. He was extremely knowledgeable about dogs and gave practical advice. Whilst he was here I could see first hand how our dog responded to him which was great. Two weeks later and putting his advice into practice and we are already in a better place with our dog. He’s not perfect but we are seeing progress. We have just had Matt to assist with training our 12-week-old puppy, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. His teaching style is clear, patient, and effective—he not only guided our puppy with positive reinforcement and structure, but also gave us the tools and confidence we needed to continue training at home. Our puppy loved the session. We saw real progress in such a short amount of time, and it was so rewarding to watch our puppy respond so positively to the training. We were given a crate training schedule by Matt and it totally transformed our puppies routine. Crate training for a new puppy can be incredibly difficult but with using Matt’s schedule we were able to train her to toilet outside within a couple of hours. We were also able to have a full night sleep for the first time in a week within the first day of the schedule! We’re really pleased with the results so far and would wholeheartedly recommend Matt to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and effective dog trainer. Thank you for giving our pup such a great start.

Had our first Visit with Matt today. We have a 12 week old labradoodle called Rollo. In just one session we covered so much and I generally saw a different side to my dog. Me and my family all feel so much more confident training our new puppy and big improvements have been made!

Matt’s experience is second to none and i couldnt recommend him enough. Even before he started training me and my puppy he spent an hour on the phone free of charge going through different training regimes for me to do with her before he took any money off me which no other dog trainer would do. He is friendly and approachable and explains everything until you fully understand what you need to do to get your dog where it needs to be. He knows exactly what he is doing and genuinely has a real love and passion for dogs and provides support after the session as well. Would highly recommend to to anyone. My 5 month puppy is already nailing some of the training drills he has set less than 24 hours after the visit!

The countless five star reviews don't lie- Matt came to our home and spent 4 hours, 1 to 1 training with our 12 week old Labrador Finn. Matt really took his time to ensure Finn trusted him and felt comfortable. Everything was explained really well and Matt provided us with confidence in ourselves to train our dog. When speaking to friends and hearing what their dog trainers have taught their dogs and them, it really doesn't come close to quality and expertise of Moosh K9 academy. You can see that Matt is passionate and truly cares. I would say if you are needing or thinking of working with a dog trainer- you've found your guy. 100% recommend.
