Today we responded to a no-start and charging system issue in Ellwood City after a customer noticed the battery warning light come on while driving. After inspection on-site, we found the serpentine belt had completely shredded, preventing the alternator from charging properly and affecting multiple engine accessories.
We replaced the damaged serpentine belt, inspected the pulleys and belt routing, and verified proper charging system operation before the vehicle was returned to service. Problems like squealing noises, battery lights, overheating, or loss of power steering can sometimes be related to serpentine belt failures and should be inspected as soon as possible to help prevent further damage.
