Kevin “Fishin4Fun” Carney
I recently moved to Tarpon Springs and had my 43' RV destroyed in the last hurricane and replaced it with a 43' Jayco Northpoint.
There were known issues with the awnings not working and I was told by the seller exactly what was diagnosed. In addition, my refrigerator was dying as well so I called Ron Wrazen.
This was a mistake.
Ron has basic mechanical and electrical skills and yes he is determined to finish what he starts... However, he is NOT a professional RV repairman with experience.
He didn't understand the main computer bord nor how it interfaced with the entire unit even after we shared with him specifically what was previously diagnosed. After spending HOURS tracing back every potential electrical connection and finding nothing he finally listened to us and checked what we told him in the first place and in 10min he had the solution... what a total time eater!! For both hours charged and time I had to be away from work.
He replaced the board and then just left a sheet saying just follow this to reconnect everything to the board... what a mess! This was not an easy project for someone without experience which I told him I dint 't have in this unit. He was no help on this.
His inexperience and lack of preparation was painful... to ME!
Then he mishandled the insurance paperwork delaying the completion of the project even knowing that our fridge wasn't cooling correctly.
He showed up to remove the old fridge and replace the new one by himself... no help, no pre-measuring and I ended up having to help him lift the fridge into my RV in a very arduous manor because he didn't feel comfortable taking off both doors to get it in and he didn't have an physical labor nor equipment to get the fridge in. Of course he chewed up a piece of floor, gashes in the aluminum steps and took a chunk out of my bathroom door trying to get it in.
All in all the job got completed but only with my own time and on-line investigation of how to work all of the digital end and my physical labor of lifting the refrigerator into my unit and replacing my bathroom door after he left.
Nice fella if you need a handyman for basic mechanical work but NOT a professional RV Repairman with experience.
We will definitely be trying someone else next time.
And yes... I paid my $200 insurance fee prior to writing this review... Nice try Ron... I even cc'd you on the payment!
