1L eco-boost ford engine come into us for oil pressure issues…the culprit turned out to be fords weak designed wet belt which drives the oil pump…it is imperative that oil changes are made early with this engine as the super thin grade of oil easily thickens up with carbon build up causing the belt to work harder which in turn weakens the teeth eventually breaking them off into the oil sump blocking the strainer however as the belt was already struggling with no teeth you now have no oil pressure… so anyone who owns a 1.0 ford eco-boost this is your sign to service early….any decent mechanic will be able to spot small debris from the belt in the old oil.
Thanks for taking the time to read and I hope we’ve saved you a major repair bill
