Mizell Home Inspections

No! The actual inspector was a beautiful, lovely gentle-man. He was great. The owner of Mizzell, however, not so much. The inspection was beyond expensive and we found flaws after the fact. After we closed, in fact, so we could no longer ask for seller credits. When these omissions were pointed out to the owner of the inspection company, Shawn Mizell, he wanted to argue instead of fix the issues. One issue was no hot water in the shower. He said it was our (the buyer) fault for not turning on the hot water heater. Uh ok. How about telling us this needed to happen? The other issue was the hole in the wall to which Shawn ignored. If Shawn addressed these inspection report oversights for the money we paid him, we’d have been happy. For him to argue with us, however, this review is the result as will be a formal complaint with his licensing agency. Not cool Shawn, not cool.

Shawn got us in on short notice and did an awesome job! He was very thorough and provided us with a very detailed inspection report in a timely manner! Glad we chose him for our home inspection

Wow!!! I don’t even have enough positive words to choose from in my vocabulary!! Shawn is the BEST absolute BEST home inspector I’ve ever known, and I’m in the real estate business for almost 20 years. Shawn although not feeling well AND the day after being out of town for a home inspection training did not hesitate to show up!! He is absolutely fantastic and thoroughly inspected my buyers’ home. He pointed out the little things, even the seller wasn’t aware of, and the bigger concerns. He found a few items which were absolutely important to my buyer which could have made considerable concerns down the road. The seller was willing to resolve the concerns making sure my buyer had less to think about and put minds at ease. I will keep Shawn at the top of my list and hope each buyer who sees this also calls Shawn for their residential or commercial property inspection. Thank you Shawn and your wife for being the BEST and two of the most hardworking people in my circle of professionals!

Shawn was incredible! Went above and beyond for my buyers! My buyers are Veterans so there are extra steps that needed taking and he took the time to complete them all! He immediately responded to all my texts and calls and my buyers closed on time in many ways thanks to him and his help along the way! I highly recommend him if you are looking for a thorough inspector with excellent communication! The buyers and sellers were very satisfied with his findings and reports! This was our first home, and we were excited to have a new build.
