Minneriya & Kaudulla Elephants, Village SAFARI from SIGIRIYA

Not What I Expected I went on an elephant safari hoping to see these amazing animals in the wild, but the experience was disappointing. Around 50 jeeps were following just three elephants, getting far too close in an attempt to offer the best view. It felt stressful for the animals—almost like a zoo on wheels, but worse. I regret supporting this kind of tourism and wish I had researched more beforehand. I hope future efforts focus more on the welfare of the animals than on tourist satisfaction.

About 100 elephants in their wild home-amazing! Happy for the posibility not to harm them and see very close. In the park many birds, other animals- very nice place. Just a pity to pay more than 20 times mirė compared to locals

I didn’t do the safari so can’t talk about it but it is very sad how they have a tied up elephant with damaged skin at the entrance :(
