Continuing on with our simple stress busters:
6. Progressive Muscle Relaxation. Too long a narrative to include here, but go ahead and google it for a list of instructions or find a guided imagery that takes you through the process!
7. Listen to some music for a few minutes. Music can be incredibly relaxing, find your favorite songs and pump up the volume!
8. Throw things! Yes, you read that right! Physical aggression can be really helpful! Now, please do things safely and within reason. There are companies that allow you to pay a fee to come in an destroy things, or you can throw a ball at a target, non-valuable items into a dumpster, etc.
9. Laugh! Find some friends, some co-workers, family, your dog, we don't care, just laugh! Have you ever tried laughing intentionally only to find you end up laughing uncontrollably? Laughing can be a great stress buster!
10. Connect with others. Have a little chat, go out to dinner, go for a hike. Staying social doesn't have to be complex and for those who enjoy alone time, it doesn't have to be lengthy!
