I am forever grateful to Millcreek Veterinary Clinic and Urgent Care. We brought our cat, Shadow, in during a sudden emergency with no appointment and no down payment, and they welcomed us without hesitation. They could see we weren’t in a financial spot to pay at the moment, yet their first concern was making sure Shadow got the care he needed—before even discussing payment. When it became clear that the kindest option for Shadow was to put him to sleep, the vet and staff were incredibly compassionate, patient, and understanding. They gave us as much time as we needed with Shadow, making an unbearably heartbreaking moment just a little more bearable. Their empathy and care went above and beyond, and because of them, I will be bringing all my other pets here from now on. They truly treat both animals and their humans with love, respect, and kindness.

Reception and techs were wonderful—kind and professional. Unfortunately, the vet’s (Leah Ravitz) communication was dismissive and patronizing. She repeatedly emphasized that my dog was “EXTREMELY overweight” and said that “just like people, dogs have a hard time toting all that chunk around,” which felt judgmental rather than clinical. Whether she intended it or not, as a fat person this came across as blatant weight stigma directed at me and felt like I was being talked down to. We are an active family, so the assumptions behind those comments were especially inappropriate. I’m not opposed to a weight-loss plan for my dog if it’s medically needed, but there’s a respectful way to have that conversation, and this wasn’t it. The vaccine estimate was around $468, which I would have paid if the experience had been better. Instead, we paid the exam fee and left.

We brought our little guy in to see Doctor Nazzaro today and we are so pleased by her care, knowledge, and TIME she took looking after our pup. She loves her furry patients! That is very obvious! Everyone there were all so nice and warm as soon as we walked in. I highly recommend this clinic! Thank you ALL for loving our little guy, and treated him with patience and compassion. :)

Millcreek Vet was there for us when our Great Pyr’s back dew claw had grown into his pad, was bleeding and refused to let us touch it. First to help was receptionist, Allyson, who was so very welcoming and kind. It was a Sunday so it got a little busy but the vet took incredible care of Juno and explained things so well to us. We were so impressed with this urgent care visit that we may move all of our care here. We would highly recommend this clinic!

We have been very happy with our vets, Dr. Nazzaro and Dr. Prior, at Millcreek Veterinary Clinic for the past 10 years. Our dog has had numerous health issues and each time the doctor's have done a great job addressing each health situation. Because of their diagnosis and guidance in 2 of our health issues we were able to get to specialist in both heart and eye care here locally. We are so grateful to the professionalism and care the entire staff has always given us and our boxer. I am very grateful to everyone that is a part of Millcreek Veterinary Clinic. They have always made time for us whether an urgent or regular visit.

Our dog has been a patient at Millcreek for 10 years with many critical health issues and a number of surgeries, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the vets and the staff. The quality of care and follow-up is outstanding. We have lived in other parts of the country and our pets have never received such great, caring attention as we get at Millcreek from the entire staff! They are also very prompt in re-filling prescriptions.

Thank you for taking my emergency call so urgently and seriously. When put in an emergency situation being put on hold is the last thing needed, staff handled the matter with urgency, gave guidance, all while radiating empathy from staff members. You can tell the staff truly cares, the building is clean, and has a welcoming light to it. I’d like to add that they have payment options. Instead of piling on stress they hear out concerns of care and payment all while offering payment options. You can tell they aren’t money hungry, they want to help your animal and will be honest about recommended care. I found my forever vet clinic at Millcreek Veterinary Clinic

I am writing this review to share multiple experiences with this clinic that raise serious concerns about both urgency of care and quality of recommendations. Most recently, I brought my cat here because this clinic is advertised as urgent care. She had been exposed to lily pollen, which is a well-documented veterinary emergency for cats. When I arrived, I was not acknowledged immediately and was asked to wait while staff continued a conversation unrelated to patient intake. Given the time-sensitive nature of toxic ingestions, this was concerning. Once seen, the doctor did not treat the situation as an emergency and stated that treatment would only be necessary once symptoms appeared. I was told they would monitor kidney values with bloodwork over the next few days. When I explained that lily toxicity requires preventative treatment before symptoms occur (such as decontamination and IV fluids), the doctor stated she was unfamiliar with parts of this protocol and said she needed to “do some research.” At that point, I did not feel comfortable proceeding and chose to leave. I went to a nearby animal ER. As soon as I walked in and said “my cat ingested lily pollen,” they immediately recognized it as an emergency, asked how long ago the exposure occurred, and began appropriate treatment right away to protect her kidneys. The contrast in response was striking! Unfortunately, this was not my first concerning experience here. Previously, I brought my dog in for a bump on her paw. I was advised to pursue a surgery quoted at approximately $3,000, with limited explanation. I later sought a second opinion elsewhere and was able to resolve the issue with a necessary surgery costing under $900, with far clearer communication and a much better overall experience. Additionally, during that visit, I was told my dog would need extensive pre-operative bloodwork without the provider reviewing her chart, which showed she had undergone surgery just a few months prior with normal results. This lack of chart review left me feeling uncomfortable and unsupported. My dog also previously had fatty tumors removed at this clinic, and the surgical outcome left significant scarring and tissue trauma that, in hindsight, seemed excessive compared to later procedures performed elsewhere. I understand that this clinic is urgent care and not a full emergency hospital. However, urgent care should still be able to recognize true emergencies, respond appropriately, or clearly and immediately refer out when something is beyond their scope. Based on my experiences, I would strongly recommend pet owners go directly to an animal ER for time-sensitive emergencies or seek second opinions for major procedures. I am sharing this review so other pet owners can make informed decisions in critical moments.

Millcreek Vet is not our usual vet. We visited on a Sunday with our sick Great Dane. They (Dr. Ravits & Vet tech) took great care of us and took the exact actions that we desired. - Do not hesitate to call on this clinic for Veterinary services. It's also a very nice, new facility.

This was my first time visiting this facility. The doctor, as well as all the staff for more than friendly and very, very courteous. I would have given a higher rating however this location does not have handicap access and with me recently having surgery on my knee it was somewhat hard going up those few steps to get into the building once we got into a room the rooms were very, very tiny. They are supposed to be moving to a different location sometime during this year, but as of this date, they have no definite move date. I only hope the new location has handicap access and there’s a lot easier for people such as myself to get in and out of.
