I received a gift card Mill Creek Tavern in Bayville recently so Saturday we checked it out. We arrived right at 5:00 which I think was the move because by the time we left, both sides of the restaurant and the bar were packed. We shared a fried calamari appetizer (perfect cook) My husband had Sauerbraten Short Ribs (Mustard herb späetzle, and braised red cabbage) and I had Chicken Schnitzel with mushroom gravy and a side of creamed spinach. Not pictured is our delicious tiramisu I will say our server was just a little…awkward? Nice but odd to interact with whoever, not in an off putting way and was attentive We can’t wait to go back!

We decided to celebrate March 8th in that place. We came about noon, and it's been pretty empty. You can tell it's a local restaurant . The food was pretty decent, and I drank champagne, so it's obvious the bartender wasn't worked so hard on drinks. Atmosphere been very relaxing. The only things I don't like are a service. It was ok,but it looks like workers don't wanna be there. Maybe because they are tired. But I will definitely stop by.

Where to begin. The food was practically inedible. I had lobster bisque without lobster that tasted like it came from a Campbell Soup Can. On my third bite, I noticed there’s was black hair in my soup. Traditionally this doesn’t even bother me so I was able to get past it despite How bad the soup was. I had my two children with me. We got an order of chicken fingers and french fries and macaroni and cheese. $18 a plate. The chicken fingers and french fries were fine, the macaroni and cheese was so bad my three-year-old boy who is practically a vacuum, wouldn’t even touch it. They charged five dollars for a fountain coke, and for tea. Not to mention $18 for a cup of Brussel Sprouts that tasted like garbage covered in old bacon jam. Zero stars. Disappointing for a family looking for a nice night.

Went for a nice hike & gardens around Oyster Bay. So this place was recommended to me by Google maps & decided to come here. When you go inside: the bar is the first thing you see. It was confusing, because we were looking for a hostess or someone to sit us for a few minutes. Finally got someone's attention & they sat us inside the restaurant. 🦋So we arrived during happy hour. But they said we have to sit at the bar if want to partake in the happy hour options...but we wanted to be in the restaurant...so dissapointing honestly. 🦋Our waitress was knowledgeable & patient. 🦋 bread with butter on the table (not a fan of that butter at all) 🦋espresso martini was good. 🦋buffalo spring rolls were good (but very small for the quantity) 🦋mac & cheese side (1. It's penne and 2. Missing something) we weren't a fan 🦋Shepherds Pie was alright, nothing special. I guess I was hoping & expecting more flavor. Overall, nice local place, with nice staff and location. But the prices for the quality of food didn't match.

This was the third time we had been here. First time for Happy Hour, which they have every day. Needless to say, we sat at the bar. The food was terrific as always, and drinks were very well made. I highly recommend this establishment.

Impeccable service followed by delicious food in a really comfortable atmosphere. My wife and I were in the mood for a couple of burgers and we had already walked out of a few places in Oyster bay because they just "didn't feel right." On a whim we said, "let's check out Bayville, I'll bet they have a great pub." I'm glad we did because the Mill Creek Tavern was awesome- totally exceeded our expectations. This place was perfect. Hands down it was one of the best burgers I ever had. The staff was friendly, attentive and personable. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable. We will certainly be back and we will be trying more of their food!

Kinda got there a bit later on a Saturday night. Place send to close by 11pm. It's a small-ish place. Bar up front, restaurant in the back. Wait service is knowledgeable and patient. Menu is a bit confusing. It's this place German-ish? Americana? Italian-ish? Still the good was good. Their slow cooked short rib with beef is apparently prepared in advance. Slaw is good. Overall tasty dish. Rigatoni with mushroom gravy is very good. Calamari is crispy. Lemon sole doesn't seem fresh (ie, frozen), francaise sauce lacks flavor (they may be afraid to ruin the fish, which is common for many places). Maybe they were playing it safe. I would go back for the land-based dishes. Drinks are excellent!

We were visiting family in Mill neck and choose Mill Creek Tavern because they have a very nice menu. I like that they print the daily specials with descriptions and prices. It was a late dinner and both my wife and I opted for appetizers. She selected the Iron Skillet Meatball Parmesan . four homemade meatballs with melted mozzarella, and a pomodoro sauce with a piece of garlic bread on top. Very good. I chose the Crispy Chili Pop Shrimp , baby shrimp( not that small) with a sweet Thai chili sauce, really very good. Also the Tuscan Calamari, fried calamari, marinara, lemon, and a horseradish aioli. Unfortunately the calamari was rubbery and chewy. For dessert, my wife wanted the WARM APPLE CRISP ,Granny Smith apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, rolled oat crumb topping, and vanilla bean ice cream, also very good and a huge portion.

We had a delicious dinner at Mill Creek Tavern. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere very friendly. We saw friends there and one was having a baked potato that looked delicious so I ordered one with a pork chop and it was the biggest and best pork chop I've ever tasted. All their food is terrific. Can't wait to go back. Thanks Mill Creek and Staff, kudos to the chef, Jean and Brandon, Kay
