Edison has always been one of the most resilient markets in New Jersey.
First, it is still relatively affordable compared to many surrounding towns. There are plenty of 1950s and 1960s homes that allow buyers to enter the market at a reasonable price point.
Second, location is everything.
From Edison, you can reach New York City in about an hour. Staten Island is minutes away. The beaches are within reach. Pennsylvania is not far either.
There are multiple train options nearby, which makes commuting realistic for a lot of families.
The schools are solid. The taxes are reasonable for what you get.
Now, I will be honest. It has grown. It is more congested than it used to be. I have watched that change over the years.
But demand has stayed strong because the fundamentals make sense.
Affordability. Accessibility. Opportunity.
Markets that have those ingredients tend to hold their value better over time.
Edison continues to prove that.
