Moms have always been my best employees.
If you can build a workplace that respects their schedule, you will have loyal, hardworking people who give you everything they have.
I hired mothers because I understood their reality. They needed flexibility to pick up their kids at 2:30. They needed to be home when school was closed.
So we worked around it.
They were paid hourly. They appreciated the opportunity to contribute financially while still being present for their families.
And they worked hard.
Many were highly skilled but had stepped away from the workforce to raise children. When given the chance to reenter on reasonable terms, they exceeded expectations.
They were organized, efficient, and deeply responsible.
I believe when you trust people and accommodate what truly matters to them, they repay that trust with commitment.
Some of the strongest teams I ever built were anchored by mothers who simply needed someone willing to see their value.
It was good business.
It was also the right thing to do.
