"Why Is My Insurance Estimate So Low?"
If you've received an estimate from your insurance company that seems lower than expected, you're not alone—and there's a reason for it.
Insurance companies often write what’s called a "preliminary estimate." This means they’re basing it on visible damage only, without disassembling the vehicle. Once your vehicle is in the shop and we perform a full teardown, we often discover additional hidden damage that wasn't visible during the initial inspection. At that point, we submit a supplement to the insurance company for approval.
Also, many insurers base their estimates on cheapest labor rates and aftermarket or recycled parts—not necessarily what’s best for your vehicle. At MGA Collision Center, we focus on safe, high-quality repairs, using the right parts and processes to restore your vehicle to pre-accident condition.
:bulb: You have the legal right to choose your repair shop. We’ll work directly with your insurance to make sure your car gets the repairs it actually needs.
