I want to start by saying that Iām not trying to slander this business in any way. Iām currently in a management role myself and regularly review feedback for my own workplace, so I understand how impactful negative reviews can be for both a business and its staff. Iām also not someone who typically leaves reviews, but since I originally found this salon on social media, I wanted to share my experience so others can have realistic expectations.
For context, my appointment was at 2:40 with what I believe was a level one artist. I booked a hard gel European manicure, which came to $125 before tip.
Starting with the positives, the salon itself is very clean and nicely designed, and there is plenty of parking. The owner or manager also seemed very friendly with most of the clients, and the manicure itself turned out very nice. I was happy with the quality of the work.
As for the negatives, there are quite a few policies listed on their website. Despite that, my entire appointment was spent listening to another client complain about not liking another artistās work and having her nails redone by someone else. Of course this is just my personal opinion, but if I could hear the entire conversation from my chair, Iām sure others could as well. It didnāt create the best atmosphere.
The other issue was the wait time. I called the day before to book an appointment at 2:45 and was asked to come at 2:40 instead, which was completely fine with me. I arrived around 2:30 and was seated right away, which initially seemed great. However, I ended up waiting in the chair for about 30ā40 minutes with no updates from anyone. By the 30-minute mark I was honestly considering leaving, but since I had driven a while to get there, I decided to wait a little longer. Eventually the nail artist came and started the appointment, but the long wait with no communication was confusing. When I checked out, I was asked if I was happy with the manicure, which I was, but the long wait time and lack of communication werenāt really addressed.
Overall, the nail work itself was great, but the customer experience was subpar. Before posting this review I asked my partner what he thought, and he asked if leaving the review meant I was okay with never coming back. Sadly, I think the answer is yes, which is a shame because the work itself was very good.
