This balcony deck was is in sad shape and not safe . I took it down completely and started with new flashing and pressure treated lumber . We decided to support it on post because if I was to do a cantilever I would have had to mess up sheetrock on the inside . That would be extra expense for the owner . I think the post gave it a nice look along with adding 4ft to the deck itself.
