This place has great ambience. Seating and location are perfect. A group of 10 people visited on a Saturday. Food tasted bland and nothing special. Some of our roti’s were burnt. Waitress offered and exchange but it was too late. Service was so slow. Spent more than 2 hours as they were understaffed. Expected a lot more, eventually disappointed at the end. This place is not for Indians if they are looking for tasty spicy food.

Went first time and never again! Ordered 2 curries which were exactly same recipe. The curry wasnt even blended well and raw garlic. The naan and paratha were nice but the gravies nowhere close to Indian food! There are definitely better indian food places like Anjappar and southern spice! Very expensive for that kind of food.

True, authentic, and delicious food. It is above average Indian cuisine and they welcome and treat you like family. Worth every dollar you spend. Go try the place, you will not regret it!!!

### Review for Mayur Indian Restaurant ★★★★★ I've tried Indian food in countless places, but Mayur Indian Restaurant truly stands out as the best I've ever had. From the moment the dishes arrived, I was blown away by the authentic flavors and perfect execution. The chicken tandoori was incredibly tender and juicy, marinated with just the right blend of spices that gave it an amazing sizzle, accompanied by savory onions on the side. Paired with the lamb curry, which was rich, aromatic, and simmered to perfection in a velvety sauce loaded with layers of warmth from cumin, coriander, and a hint of heat—it was pure comfort in every bite. The cucumber salad provided a refreshing contrast, crisp and lightly dressed with a cilantro Indian seasoning dressing that cut through the richness of the mains beautifully. And don't get me started on the garlic naan: fluffy, pillowy, and bursting with garlicky goodness, it was the ideal vehicle for scooping up every last drop of curry. The service was friendly and attentive, and the cozy atmosphere made the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you're craving top-notch Indian cuisine, Mayur is an absolute must-visit. I'll be back soon!

You’re in Newport or Corona Del Mar looking for quality, but more than that, fresh food, then this is the spot. I personally travel up and down California, trying plenty of different, ethnic food, and one of my favorites being Indian food. Not only was my food fresh, but served/plated well. The chicken vindaloo went toe to toe with others I’ve rated before, and to wrap it together, great food but I’ll be back. Perfect birthday lunch in my opinion

Everything about this place is perfect. -the vibe -the delicious food -the ambiance It feels cozy and fancy both at the same time. I had the chicken masala (my preference without dairy and no spice) it is the best I’ve ever had in my life… And the salad yes…. Mmm And some bread as well. Thank you. Will definitely be back ♾

My boyfriend, his family, and I had a lovely experience here for the first time. Our waiter was very polite, friendly, and funny with the kids and parents in the family. All of the food was great, atmosphere is very calm and romantic, and they were able to provide a booster seat for our little one in the family. I will definitely recommend this place to my family and friends because I would love to come back!

Where are the seasonings? These are the prices for this dish!? I got the tandoori chicken, tikka masala, basmati rice, as well as the garlic naan. The tandoori chicken was quite good, not as juicy as I would prefer, but I did enjoy the flavors. For the other dishes…they were boring and lacked flavor. There was no seasonings, the spice levels were not added, the basmati rice had some oil on top that was unsuitable for my tastes, and the garlic naan…there was either no garlic or a BUNCH of garlic. I have had much better tikka masala’s and garlic naan. The service and atmosphere were very enjoyable, and the staff were very kind and considerate for our dining.
