Dave and his team at Mayfield Plumbing and Excavation are fantastic. I had a main water line leak, and Dave recommended a full line replacement. From day one, he was communicative, transparent, and his pricing was more than fair. My property added some real complexity, the curb box was over 72 inches deep, and utility lines were encroaching on the excavation area. Dave brought in a vac truck to carefully clear the dirt and rocks without damaging anything nearby. Despite the tricky site conditions, he installed a new copper line and had our water back on in just 4 hours. Professional, skilled, and honest, couldn’t recommend him and his company more. 10/10.

Dave Mayfield, and his company Z Excavation and Plumbing, did a fantastic job repairing our water line. Dave answered his phone both times I called, arrived at the scheduled date and time, and completed the work efficiently and without making a mess. The care they showed to our property and home was outstanding. They had the job done quickly, and had the line inspected shortly after on the same day. He even offers a 12 month warranty. If you’re on the fence about Dave, don’t be. If the price sounds too good to be true, it isn’t. Dave quoted less than half of what the great big plumbing national company did. Highly recommend!

Five stars for Mayfield Plumbing! They did an amazing job replacing our main water. They arrived right on schedule and got straight to work. They carefully dug the line and cleaned up the yard nicely. They explained all costs clearly before any work started. Professional crew, everyone was polite, helpful, and answered all our questions. Would recommend and call in the future.

Mayfield replaced our drainage pipe from the downspout to the street. He came out the same day I called to give an estimate. His costs were significantly more reasonable than anyone else I spoke with. He was able to get the job done super quickly and was great about communication. I would 100% recommend this company and will definitely use them again in the future!

I cannot say enough good things about Dave Mayfield and ZExcavation. He responded quickly to an emergency, worked diligently on our behalf with Columbia Gas and the City of Columbus Water Division, and installed our new water line at a reasonable cost. He ran into difficulties beyond his control with our property and did not raise the estimate. Class act, and highly professional.

David was literally 10/10!!! Not only was he the best price, but he was the best human! No gimmicky talks or having to call a supervisor. David did my estimate and was the one doing the work!! He’s easy to communicate with and was very upfront about everything! I will be recommending him to anyone and everyone! He fixed my entire main water line in my front yard. Minimal damage to my yard!! David is your person for any plumbing repairs!!! You’re welcome!!!

Dave should wear a cape! He saved the day! Our main water line had a leak at the foundation, the city gave us 14 days to have it replaced before they shut off our water. The big companies you hear advertise on the radio and tv wouldn't even come out to give us a quote. Other companies said the job was too big and complicated. Dave quickly repsonded, inspected and gave us a quote. He also educated us on the whole process and possible complications. All of Dave's competitors said his quote was great. Dave was in constant contact via phone calls and texts throughout the whole job. In one day they replaced the water line without damaging the driveway, yard or porch. So thankful we found Dave and Z Excavation!!!
