Maui Whale Adventures

Such an amazing experience! We booked 7am whale watching tour. Within 30 min we saw many whales and even dolphins! Our tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and educated us the whole trip! We had 12 total on our boat and it was the perfect amount of people to see whales from every seat. We will recommend Maui Whale Adventures to everyone and use them again next time we visit Maui!

2/12/26 Maui Whale Adventures, thank you for an unforgettable experience. The entire staff was incredibly helpful, courteous, and attentive. We were fortunate enough to witness numerous whales in the water, their jaws open, body-slamming each other, and using their tails. We followed two males and a female for a while, and then another male joined in, all frolicking together. It was an absolute blast, and we captured plenty of pictures and videos to cherish this incredible experience. Thanks again!

Cannot recommend this enough. Small boat (only 12 people) and Mindy & James were the best guides. Incredibly active whales today and could not be happier with our experience. The dinghy ride out to the boat was a fun added adventure.

We had the most amazing while watching tutorial with Billy and Colton! We were surrounded by whales and dolphins! It was so amazing going out in a small boat because we were so close! I highly recommend this. We had a group of eight and it was super fun.

We had the BEST experience with Maui Whale Adventures! James and Mindy were our guides and they were the perfect mix of knowledge, skill, and dedication to make sure we got to see the amazing whales. I also appreciated that they talked and educated us the perfect amount, but also left time for quietness on the boat so we could take it all in. We will absolutely be back!

We had a great experience with Maui Whale Adventures! We saw lots of whales. The boat is smaller so we could maneuver to new whales easily. Everywhre on the boat had a good view. I brought my almost 4yo and 6yo kids and they had small kid life jackets. The two guides were very informative. We also brought my mom who usually gets seasick but she was fine on this trip with calmer waters.

We did a private Whale watching experience with Colton. It was by far the best experience on our trip!!! Colton was the best guide to have. He was super friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and made sure we had the best views. In comparison they had the best size boats for the best viewings opportunities. Definitely recommend this company. Great price, great company and super friendly people.

Maui Ocean Adventures is absolutely phenomenal! We went out 10 times in 7 days, and every single trip was unique — each time we saw or even heard something new and amazing. It never once felt repetitive; the ocean delivered a new experience every outing. Captain Emma is truly exceptional. Her deep love and respect for the whales and all ocean life is obvious the moment you step on board. Her passion, knowledge, and genuine care elevate the entire experience and make each whale-watching adventure unforgettable. This is truly an experience all ages will enjoy — from my 65-year-old mother to my 10-year-old son, everyone had an incredible time. If you’re looking for an authentic, educational, and awe-inspiring way to experience Maui’s whales, Maui Ocean Adventures is hands-down the best choice. We went on the Maui Whale Adventure today and the whole trip was epic. The captain and his crew were friendly, courteous, and very knowledgeable about the whales. We learned so many new and interesting facts about the whales, the ocean and the surrounding mountains . All of our questions were answered thoroughly. We had the most awesome incredible day. We saw so many whales. We saw them breaching. We saw them blowing water and waving to us with their pectoral fin. This was the highlight of our trip to Maui. We definitely recommend this Maui Whale Adventure trip for a truly outstanding way to see the whales. Mahalo for a awesome day on the water!!

Great Way to See Whales on Maui! Maui Whale Adventures uses a smaller boat which means less people on board, so no worry about getting into a good position to see the humpback whales. Saw lots of fin slaps, and tails. We also saw a baby breaching over and over. I would go out with them again without a second thought. Kudos to their crew! They shared lots of great knowledge and we felt very welcomed from check-in to landing back on Ka’anapali Beach.
